How to assemble the juicer?

Place the base, insert the auger, then the filter, then the pulp container and the lid, turning until locked. Finally, place the juice pitcher under the outlet.

Can I wash the parts in the dishwasher?

Yes, all removable parts (auger, filter, container, pitcher, pusher) are dishwasher safe, preferably on the top rack.

What types of fruits and vegetables can I use?

The appliance is suitable for hard fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, beets, as well as softer ones like oranges or celery. Remove hard pits.

What to do if the auger does not turn?

Check that the lid is properly locked and the appliance is plugged in. If the problem persists, let the appliance cool down for 15 minutes before trying again.

How to clean the filter effectively?

Rinse it immediately after use under warm water. Use the included cleaning brush to remove residues. For deep cleaning, soak it in hot water with vinegar.

Can I make juices from fruits with seeds?

Yes, small seeds like those of grapes or raspberries pass without issue. Avoid very large pits (peach, mango) that could damage the appliance.

Is the juicer noisy?

No, the slow auger motor is very quiet: about 60 dB, comparable to the sound of a normal conversation.

How to store the appliance?

Disassemble it, clean and dry all parts. Store them in a dry place. The cord can be wound in the compartment under the base.

What is the warranty of the appliance?

Important

Danger

- Do not immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

Warning

- Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance (Fig. 2).

- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other parts are damaged.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Caution

• Always place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
• Do not use the citrus press longer than 10 minutes without interruption.
• This appliance is intended for household use only.
• Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that Philips does not specifically recommend. If you use such accessories or parts, your guarantee becomes invalid.

Preparing for use

1 Clean all detachable parts before you use the appliance for the first time (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
2 Make sure the appliance is assembled properly (see chapter ‘General description’) before you put the plug in the wall socket.
3 Remove the dust cover from the appliance (Fig. 3).
4 Wind excess cord round the base of the appliance.
5 Put the plug in the wall socket.

Pulp selector

• Set the pulp selector to ● for juice with a lot of pulp, but without pips. (Fig. 4)
• Set the pulp selector to ● for juice without pulp and pips. (Fig. 5)

Using the appliance

1 Press a halved fruit firmly onto the cone to switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).
2 Remove the cone and the sieve with pulp selector. Then lift the jug from the motor unit (Fig. 7).
3 Pour out the fresh juice (Fig. 8).

Tip: Clean the appliance immediately after use (see chapter ‘Cleaning’). Dried fruit pulp is more difficult to remove.

Cleaning

1 Unplug the appliance.
2 Remove all detachable parts from the motor unit.
3 Separate the sieve from the pulp selector (Fig. 9).
4 Clean all detachable parts with hot water and some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher (Fig. 10).
5 Clean the motor unit with a moist cloth.

Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

Storage

1 Wind the cord round the base of the appliance (Fig. 11).
2 Store the appliance in a safe and dry place.

Environment

- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 12).
