CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS IN THIS MANUAL AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THEY SUPPLY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING OPERATIONS AND SAFETY FOR PRODUCT INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE.

GENERAL WARNINGS

  1. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is intact with no signs of damage caused by transport. Should you have any doubts, do not use the appliance and take it to an authorised IMETEC Service Centre.
  2. Before connecting the appliance, check that the rating plate specifications correspond to the electrical mains supply. The plate is on the bottom of the appliance.
  3. Do not use adapters, multiple sockets and/or extension cords. If the appliance's plug and the socket are incompatible, have the socket replaced with a suitable type by qualified staff.
  4. This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it has been designed, that is, as a power mixer for home use. Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage due to improper or incorrect use.
  5. The use of any electric appliance implies the observance of some fundamental rules.

Specifically:

  • never touch the appliance with hands or feet that are wet or damp
  • do not tug the power cord or the appliance to pull the plug out of the socket
  • do not expose the appliance to the elements (rain, sun, etc.)
  • do not let children or incapable persons use the appliance without supervision

  • Warning:

  • do not, under any circumstances, touch or stop the beaters while the appliance is operating

  • switch off and disconnect the appliance from the mains before attaching/detaching the beaters and also at the end of operation
  • do not use the appliance with loose, long-sleeved clothing which could get caught in the beaters during operation
  • never immerse the appliance unit in any liquid and never place it under running water

  • Before cleaning or servicing the appliance, disconnect it from the mains by pulling out the plug.

  • Should the appliance break down and/or not work properly, turn it off and do not tamper with it. If it needs repairing, take it to an authorised IMETEC Service Centre.
  • Do not attempt to replace the power cord. If it is damaged or needs replacing, contact an authorised IMETEC Service Centre.
  • Should you decide not to use the appliance any more, we suggest making it inoperative by cutting the power cord after removing the plug from the socket. We also recommend making all potentially dangerous parts of the appliance harmless, particularly for children who might be tempted to play with it.
  • Do not leave the appliance running continuously for more than 5 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes between one processing cycle and the next.
  • This appliance should not be used by children or persons with partially reduced physical, sensorial or mental faculties, and in any case not without specific knowledge and experience, or without the supervision or instructions for use provided by a responsible person.
  • Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.

The on and off control has 5 settings + a turbo speed setting.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

POWER MIXER

This product is ideal for mixing cakes, bread, pizzas, eggwhite, pastry cream and whipped cream.

Suggestions for use

We recommend using the beaters for soft mixtures (cake bases, custards, mounted eggwhite, cream) and the dough hooks are recommended for thicker mixtures (bread dough, pizzas, short-crust pastry for savory pies). For more even results, gradually increase the mixing speed.

Operation

  • Insert and fasten either the beaters ⑥ or dough hooks ⑤ according to the type of mixing to be carried out, into the mixer motor unit ④ [Fig. A].
  • Insert the plug in the socket.
  • Select the mixing speed with the specific speed control switch ① [Fig. B].

Warning:

  • Do not use the appliance continuously for more than 5 minutes, and allow for it to cool down for 5 minutes before restarting.
  • Do not cover the air vents with your hands or any other object during use.

CLEANING

Clean the appliance only when it is switched off and after having disconnected it from the mains.

  • Press the ejection button ③ to release the beaters/hooks.
  • The beaters are hand washable with hot water and detergent and dishwasher safe.
  • The motor unit ④ may be cleaned with a well-wrung damp cloth.

Warning:

  • Do not use abrasive detergents or rough cloths that might scratch the plastic surfaces.
  • Do not allow water or other objects to enter into the air vents.

DISPOSAL

The product packaging consists of recyclable materials. Dispose of these in an environmentally appropriate manner.

In accordance with EU directive 2002/96/CE, the appliance must be disposed of properly at the end of its service life. This involves the recycling of valuable substances contained within the appliance and reduces the impact on the environment. For more information, contact your local disposal company or the store where you purchased the appliance.
