Please read all instrucons before using the device.
This appliance may be used by children aged from eight (8) years and above, and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised by persons responsible for their security or if they have been instructed about the safe use of the appliance and therefore fully understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be undertaken by unaended minors.
Before plugging into a socket, it shall be ensured that the mains voltage matches the voltage specied on the rating plate.
To avoid re, electric shock and personal injury, the heating base of the appliance, its cord or plug shall not be immersed into water or any other uid.
- The appliance shall not be operated with a damaged cord or plug, or aer the appliance malfuncons, or has been damaged in any manner. It shall be returned to the nearest authorized service facility for examinaon, repair or adjustment.
- The appliance shall always be unplugged when not in use or when le unaended, and before changing accessory, disassembling or cleaning.
- The use of any accessory aachment not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or personal injury and will void the manufacturer's warranty in case of a damage or a hazard.
- The power cord shall not hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- The appliance shall not be placed on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. It shall also not come in contact with curtains, paper tablecloth or other am-mable materials.
- The device shall be turned o aer use, before removing the plug from the wall outlet.
- The appliance should be used for its intended domestic purpose only.
- The appliance heats up to high temperatures. Necessary safety precautions need to be taken to prevent accidents caused by touching the hot surfaces of the appliance.
○ The device should only be operated indoors.
- Extreme cauon must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
- The appliance must be placed out of the reach of children.
- It shall not be switched on prior complete assembling and with water lled in the pot.
- The pot shall remain on the heater until it has cooled down, aending that the heang base slightly expands and adheres to the pot, as soon as the liquid starts boiling.
- The use of metal cooking utensils is not recommended to cook in the appliance, as they may damage its surface.
- Store the appliance in a dry, clean and well venlated area.
☐ ABOUT THIS FONDUE SET
CAUTION: please do not use grease or oil for the fondue. The appliance is suitable only for "Asian-style" cooking with broth and not for fondue bourguignonne!
○ Using the provided fondue sieves and forks, this electric pot is perfect for cooking delicious Chinese fondue, with sh. meat and vegetables.
The pot has a separator in the middle for accommodating two dierent types of broth in the same me, a meat and a vegetarian one, for example.
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Take all of the parts carefully out of the packaging.
○ Wash the pot, the forks and the sieves with a so cloth and a lile bit of dishwashing detergent. Never use abrasive cleaning products.
○ Only wipe the heang base with a damp cloth.
○ Allow all the parts to dry completely before use.
HOW TO OPERATE THE FONDUE SET
- Place the heang base in the middle of a table or another even surface.
Fill both compartments of the pot with water and all ingredients for the broth, place it on the heang base and adjust it to ensure the pot boom is well onto the base. - Ensure that the appliance is switched o before plugging its power cord into a socket.
o the "POWER" light turns on when the appliance is connected to the mains.
Turn the temperature control switch to maximum (HIGH) and once the broth is boiling, adjust the thermostat to the required cooking temperature.
When the broth is ready, place chosen food into the pot. Do not drop the food into the hot bouillon, always use the forks and sieves provided.
The traditional ingredients for the Chinese fondue are beef, pork, sh llets, squid and shrimp; leafy greens such as bok choy, spinach or cabbage; mushrooms and noodles. Slicing thinly will ensure that the ingredients will cook quickly and fully.
AFTER USE
As soon as you have nished using the device, pull out the plug, let the pot cool down and remove it from the heang base.
○ Wash the pot, the forks and the sieves with a so cloth and a lile bit of dishwashing detergent. Never use abrasive cleaning products.
○ Only wipe the heang base with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water.
NOTE
CAUTION: the heang base, the pot, the sieves and the forks may become very hot during use.
○ Using the appliance without water in the pot will damage it.
When the appliance is switched on, the "HEAT" indicator light turns on. If you switch to "HIGH", this lamp will also remain on constantly while the appliance works with full power. Once the water is boiling, turn the switch counterclockwise to set the required cooking temperature (between "MEDIUM" and "LOW"). The indicator light will turn o once the seed temperature has been reached.
The temperature indicator light that switches on and o during the cooking process indicates that the temperature dropped below the selected seng and is geng reheated to keep the temperature of the soup constant.
When the appliance is switched to "HIGH", the water shivers aer about 5 minutes and it takes about 20 minutes for it to boil, depending on your locaon.
○ If the water is not boiling aer more than 25 minutes, please turn o the appliance rst and check if the pot is properly seated in the heang base.
○ If the use of an extension cord is required:
- The marked electrical rang should be at least as great as the electrical rang of the appliance;
- The appliance is provided with a 3-wire grounding type cord, therefore the extension used must be a grounding-type-3-wire cord;
- The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter-top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid any hazard.

We commit ourselves to repair this device free of charge, should a failure occur within the period of warranty despite proper handling. We repair all defects caused by material or manufacturing faults. The guarantee will be fulfilled either by repairing the device or replacing the defective parts, according to our judgement. A warranty does not cover damages due to wearing parts, damages and defects caused by improper handling or maintenance (such as limescale and commercial use). It will only be granted if either the warranty card stang date of purchase, dealer's stamp and signature, or the purchase receipt is sent with the device to the relevant aer-sales service (see address below). Devices shall be returned in their original packaging. Transport costs are to be borne by the purchaser. Remember to specify your address to your sending, as well as a short declaraon about the failure, shall the defect not be obvious.
