How to use the Philips HR2739 juice extractor for the first time?

Before first use, clean the cone and reservoir with hot water. Plug in the appliance, place a fruit half on the cone and press firmly to start. Juice flows into the reservoir. Do not exceed 10 minutes of continuous use.

Can I wash the parts in a dishwasher?

No, the cone and reservoir must not be washed in a dishwasher. Wash them by hand with hot water. The motor unit should be wiped with a damp cloth and never immersed.

What is the maximum continuous use time?

The appliance must not operate for more than 10 minutes without interruption. After this period, let it cool before reusing.

How to replace the power cord if it is damaged?

The power cord must be replaced by a Philips Authorized Service Center due to special tools required. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

What types of fruit can I use with the HR2739?

This juicer is designed for citrus fruits: oranges, lemons, grapefruits, etc. Do not use for other fruits or vegetables.

What to do if the appliance does not turn on?

Check that the power outlet works and the cord is not damaged. Make sure to press a fruit on the cone to activate it. If the problem persists, contact Philips Consumer Service.

How to store the appliance after use?

1 Put the plug in the wall socket.
2 If necessary, store excess cord in the base of the appliance.
3 Put the appliance on a firm, level surface outside the reach of children.

Using the appliance

1 Remove the dust cover from the appliance.

2 Switch the appliance on by pressing a halved fruit firmly onto the cone.

3 Remove the cone and jug and pour out the juice.

We advise you to clean the appliance immediately after use (see 'Cleaning').

Cleaning

1 Unplug the appliance.
2 Remove the cone and jug from the appliance.
3 Rinse the cone and jug under a warm tap. Do not clean these parts in a dishwasher.
4 Clean the motor unit with a moist cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap

Replacing the cord

If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must always be replaced by Philips or an authorised Philips service centre, as special tools and/or parts are required.
