How to change the SDS-Plus chuck?

Unscrew the fixing screw inside the chuck using a Phillips screwdriver. Then remove the worn chuck and install the new one in reverse order. Tighten firmly.

What to do if the drill no longer starts?

First check the power supply and the power cord. If everything is correct, the carbon brushes may be worn. Replace them with original parts.

How to adjust the drilling depth?

Use the supplied depth stop. Loosen the screw on the side of the auxiliary handle, insert the depth stop, adjust the desired depth, and retighten the screw.

What is the power of the TE-DH 1027?

The drill has a power consumption of 1020 W, allowing it to drill holes up to 27 mm in concrete.

Can this drill be used for chiseling?

Yes, the TE-DH 1027 has a chiseling mode. Turn the mode selector to the hammer chisel position and lock the rotation by holding the lock button.

How to clean the tool after use?

Unplug the tool. Clean the housing with a damp cloth (no solvents). Use a brush to remove dust from the ventilation slots.

What is the warranty on this tool?

Einhell offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Keep the receipt as proof.

Can I use standard bits without an SDS chuck?

No, the chuck is SDS-Plus type. You must use bits with an SDS-Plus shank. Adapters exist but are not recommended for hammer drilling.

How to reverse the rotation direction?

Use the rotation direction switch located above the trigger. Push it left for clockwise rotation (drilling) and right for counterclockwise rotation (screw removal).

What to do if the bit gets stuck?

The safety clutch automatically engages to prevent injury. Release the trigger, remove the bit from the material, and check the cause of the jam.

3. Proper use

This machine is designed for heavy duty demolition and chiseling work using the appropriate chisel.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.

Warning!

Always pull the power plug before making adjustments to the equipment.

Check the drilling point for concealed electrical cables, gas and water pipes using a cable/pipe detector.

5.1 Additional handle (Fig. 2)

For safety reasons you must only use the demolition hammer with the additional

handle. The additional handle (4) enables you to achieve better stability whilst using the demolition hammer. The additional handle (4) can be turned into any required position. Undo the screw (a) by turning it in the “+” direction. Now turn the additional handle (4) into the most comfortable working position for yourself and then tighten the screw (a) again by turning it in the “-” direction.

5.2 Tool insertion (Fig. 3)

• Clean the tool before insertion and apply a thin coating of drill bit grease to the shaft of the tool.
  • Pull back and hold the locking sleeve (2).
• Insert the dust-free tool into the tool mounting as far as it will go whilst turning it. The tool will lock itself.
• Check that it is properly secure by pulling the tool.

5.3 Tool removal (Fig. 4)

Pull back and hold the locking sleeve (2) and remove the tool.

5.4 Chisel lock (Fig.5 Item 3)

When the chisel lock (3) is pressed, you can turn the inserted chisel into the required position.

• Press the chisel lock (3) towards the inserted chisel.
• While holding the chisel lock (3), turn the chisel into the required position.
  • Let go of the chisel lock again.

Turn the chisel to check whether it is securely seated.

6. Operation

Important.

To avoid danger, the machine must only be held using the two handles (1/3). Otherwise you may suffer an electric shock if you chisel into cables.

6.1 Switching On and Off (Fig. 6)

Switching on:

Press the On/Off switch (6)

Continuous operation:

Secure the On/Off switch (6) with the On/Off switch lock (5).

Switching off :

Press the On/Off switch (6) briefly or let go.

6.2 Practical tips

6.2.1 Sharpening chisel tools

You will only achieve good results if you use sharp chisels. You should therefore sharpen the chisels promptly to ensure that they produce good results and provide a long service life.

Notice!

You only require slight contact pressure for chiseling. Excessive contact pressure will place an unnecessary strain on the motor. Check the chisels at regular intervals. Sharpen or replace blunt chisels.

7. Replacing the power cable

Danger!

If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Danger!

Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.

8.1 Cleaning

• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
  • We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

8.2 Carbon brushes

In case of excessive sparking, have the carbon brushes checked only by a qualified electrician. Danger! The carbon brushes should not be replaced by anyone but a qualified electrician.

8.3 Maintenance

There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

9. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

10. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30°C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.
