How do I transfer recordings to my computer?

Connect the device to your computer using the included USB cable. The VTR7000 will appear as a removable drive. Drag and drop files from the recorder to your PC.

What is the maximum recording time?

With 4 GB internal memory and MP3 32kbps, you can record up to 700 hours. At higher quality (PCM 16bit/44.1kHz), about 6 hours.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

Yes, you can use NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries. However, battery life may be shorter than with alkaline ones.

How do I set the date and time?

From the main menu, select 'System Settings' then 'Date/Time'. Use the navigation buttons to adjust values and confirm with the OK button.

Why is my recorder not turning on?

Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity. Try fresh alkaline batteries. If still not working, check the battery contacts.

Can I adjust the microphone sensitivity?

Yes, go to 'Recording Settings' and choose 'Sensitivity' level: Low for meetings, High for dictation, or Automatic.

How do I delete files?

In the file browser, select a file, press the Options button, and choose 'Delete'. Confirm deletion. You can also format the memory via Settings.

What is the difference between MP3 and PCM mode?

MP3 compresses audio to save space (longer recording), while PCM captures uncompressed high-quality audio but uses more memory.

My recordings are too quiet. What can I do?

Increase microphone sensitivity in recording settings. Also ensure you are holding the recorder close to the sound source (within 1-2 meters).

Is it possible to password protect files?

This model does not support password protection. For security, transfer sensitive files to your computer and remove them from the recorder.
