Frequently Asked Questions - Comfortice 99249 TREBS

How to install the Trebs Comfortice 99249 ice maker?
Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface, away from direct sunlight and at least 10 cm from walls for proper ventilation. Plug it into a 220-240 V outlet. Fill the water tank with drinking water to the maximum level, then turn on the appliance.
How long does it take to get the first ice cubes?
The first production cycle usually lasts between 7 and 12 minutes, depending on ambient temperature and water temperature. Subsequent cycles are faster.
What to do if the machine does not produce ice?
Check that the water tank is filled, the appliance is properly plugged in, and the ambient temperature is between 10°C and 35°C. If the red light flashes, consult the manual for diagnosis.
How to clean the ice maker?
Unplug the appliance. Remove the ice basket and clean it with warm soapy water. Use a damp cloth to clean the inside of the tank. Descale every 3 months with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:10). Rinse thoroughly.
The ice maker makes noise, is that normal?
Yes, the noise level is about 45 dB. During the freezing cycle, a slight hum is normal. If the noise becomes excessive, check that the appliance is stable and nothing is blocking the ventilation.
Can I use the ice maker continuously?
It is recommended to let the appliance cool for 15 minutes after 6 consecutive cycles to avoid overheating. The machine stops automatically when the basket is full or the tank is empty.
What is the maximum capacity of the water tank?
The tank has a capacity of 1.8 liters. Do not exceed the indicated maximum level to avoid overflow.
How to know when the ice basket is full?
A sensor detects the ice level in the basket. When full, the indicator light changes color or turns off, and the machine automatically stops production.
What to do if the water in the tank does not cool?
Check that the refrigeration circuit is not obstructed. Ensure the air intake is not blocked. If the problem persists, contact Trebs after-sales service.
Can I use mineral or flavored water?
It is preferable to use drinking tap water. Mineral or flavored water may contain minerals that cause faster scaling and reduce the lifespan.
