SAFETY WARNINGS
After removing the packaging, inspect the appliance to ensure it complies with 1. the drawing and that it was not damaged during transportation. When in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorized service centre.
Do not let children play with the packing material! Keep the plastic bag out of the 2. reach of children: choking hazard!
Before plugging in the appliance, check that the main voltage specifications on 3. the identification plate correspond to the available mains power. The identification plate is situated on the appliance.
This appliance is solely intended as electric blanket for household use. Any other 4. use is deemed to be non-compliant and therefore hazardous.
This appliance is not intended to be used by people (children included) with 5. physical, sensorial or mental disabilities or by users lacking experience and knowledge of the appliance, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.6.
Do not use the appliance with persons who are insensitive to heat or very vulnerable.
This appliance is not to be used by children when controls have not been previ-8. ously set by a parent or a custodian or without having suitably instructed the child on how to use such devices in a safe manner.

- DO NOT operate the temperature control with wet hands.
- DO NOT pull the power cable or the appliance itself to disconnect the plug from the socket.

The appliance can be used to pre-heat the bed up but then is to be switched off 18. and unplugged before lying down.
- DO NOT use on an adjustable bed; otherwise check that the blanket or the cable do not get stuck or blocked.
Never leave the appliance on folding beds and sofa beds. Remove the electric 20. blanket before closing them.

HOW TO GET STARTED
CONNECTION OR REMOVAL OF THE TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT CONTROL (FIG. 2)

WARNING!
Use the electric blanket only with the control provided. The relative model is specified on the plate sewn on the panel.
- Insert the control inlet (F) into the plug (G) to connect the temperature adjusting control to the electric blanket.
- Repeat the procedure for the second inlet in case of double bed model.
- Disconnect the inlet (F) from the electric blanket by holding the retaining levers on the sides of the plug (G).
PLACEMENT OF ELECTRIC BLANKET (FIG. 1-2)

WARNING!
Only position the electric blanket between the mattress and the first sheet, not directly on persons in bed.
- Lay the electric blanket (B) directly on the mattress (A) with the side where the plug is located (G) towards the mattress.
- Do not place the electric blanket under the pillow.
- Make sure the electric blanket is always properly laid out.
- Lay the first sheet (C) on the electric blanket, then make the bed with the sheet (D) and the blanket (E) as usual.
USE
SWITCHING ON OF THE ELECTRIC BLANKET AND SELECTION OF THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE

WARNING!

DO NOT place the control under the pillow or sheets during use.
- Plug in the appliance.
- Switch on the electric blanket one hour before going to bed by positioning the temperature adjusting button on the required level: "1" minimum temperature, "2" medium temperature, "3" maximum temperature.
- When the warning light is on, the appliance is in operation.
- After approximately one hour the bed will be pleasantly warm. Should the room be particularly cold, switch on the electric blanket two or three hours before lying down.
- Position the control on "0" to switch the electric blanket off.
- Before lying down, position the control onto "0" to switch the electric blanket off and unplug the appliance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!
Never use carpet cleaners or steam cleaners for cleaning the electric blanket.
The electric blanket is washable. Refer to the washing symbols on the electric blanket label for a proper washing.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!
NEVER IMMERSE THE CONTROL IN WATER. Wipe the control with a soft, damp cloth.

WARNING!
DO NOT DRY CLEAN OR USE CHEMICAL SOLVENTS THAT COULD DAMAGE THE ELECTRIC BLANKET AND JEOPARDIZE ITS FUNCTIONING.
- Disconnect the cable from the thermal control as shown in fig. 2 before washing.
- Before washing the electric blanket, measure it and make sure its dimensions remain approximately the same in the drying phase.

MACHINE WASHING (For mod. 8110 and 8111 in polyester)
- The electric blanket is machine washable in cold water on a delicate program.
- Do not program a spinning cycle at the end of wash.
- Do not wring.

HAND WASHING (For mod. 8112 and 8113 wool blend / for mod. 8114
e 8115 wool)
- The electric blanket is hand washable at a max. temperature of 30^ C.
- Use a liquid soap for delicate fabrics (refer to product indications for dosage).
- Do not wring.
DRYING
- DO NOT use the electric blanket until it is completely dry.
- In the drying phase hang the electric blanket out trying to approximately reach the same original dimension. Do not expose it to direct sunlight to prevent it from turning yellow and to avoid colour change in wool or fabric.
- Do not use pegs on the electric parts.
- Inspect the electric blanket to make sure the wires are not bent or twisted. It is recommended to inspect the electric blanket wires against the light.
- Send the electric blanket back to our service centre for safety inspection in case of problems with wires after having hung the electric blanket out or if the electric blanket does not return to its original shape and dimensions.
APPLIANCE STORAGE AND CARE

WARNING!
In case of disuse of the appliance, store it in its original packaging in a dry and clean place.
WARNING!
When storing the appliance, leave it to cool before folding it.
WARNING!
DO NOT make folds and/or deform the appliance and be careful not to place on its top heavy objects that could crush and damage it.
Fabric may turn yellow in the course of time; it is a natural process. Appliance safety and/or performance are not jeopardized by this phenomenon in any way.
The wool could be non-uniform in colour or the colour could change over a period of time and have fine graining, typical of natural fibres.
TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter describes the most recurring problems regarding appliance use. Please contact the authorized service centre if problems still remain after following instructions below.

PERIODIC CHECKS
Inspect the appliance and the flexible power cord for often for signs of wear and tear. In case of such signs or malfunctioning, take the appliance to one of the service centres authorized by Ariete. It is in any case recommended to let your electric blanket be inspected by an Ariete authorized service centre at least once every 3 years.
