Frequently Asked Questions - KE201 CENTURION

How do I turn on the Centurion KE201?
Plug the machine into a power outlet and press the on/off switch. The indicator light will turn on, and the coffee will start brewing.
What type of coffee filter should I use?
You can use standard #4 cone paper filters or the included reusable filter basket. Make sure to place the filter correctly before adding coffee grounds.
How much coffee should I use for a full carafe?
For a full 10-cup carafe (approx. 1.25 L), use about 6 tablespoons (30 g) of medium-ground coffee. Adjust to taste.
Can I brew a smaller amount of coffee?
Yes, you can brew less than a full carafe. Use correspondingly less water and coffee. The machine works with any amount up to the maximum.
How does the anti-drip function work?
When you remove the carafe during brewing, a valve in the filter basket stops the drips. You can pour a cup without making a mess. Replace the carafe quickly to resume brewing.
How do I clean the coffee maker?
After each use, unplug and let cool. Remove the filter and discard grounds. Wash the carafe and filter basket with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the machine in water.
How often should I descale the KE201?
Descale every 3 months or more often if you have hard water. Use a descaling solution or a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Run a brew cycle without coffee, then run 2 cycles with fresh water.
What should I do if the coffee is not hot enough?
Ensure the warming plate is on and not covered. Preheat the carafe with hot water. If problem persists, descale the machine as mineral buildup can affect temperature.
What if the machine stops brewing mid-cycle?
Check for power supply. If the carafe was removed for too long, the anti-drip valve may have stalled. Replace carafe and try again. Also ensure the water tank is filled and the filter basket is properly placed.
Where can I find replacement parts for the KE201?
Replacement parts like carafe, filter basket, and water tank are available from Centurion or authorized retailers. Refer to the manual for part numbers.
