This appliance is for private and indoor use only and must not be used commercially. Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too. Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.
Safety information
- Connect and operate the appliance in accordance with the specifications shown on the rating label.
- Do not use if the power cord or the appliance is damaged. Always check before using the appliance.
The appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, provided that are supervised or have been provided with instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers. Children must not use the packaging as a plaything. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised.
- Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.
- The appliance must not be operated using a timer or a separate remote system! The plug must be pulled out after the use or a malfunction of the appliance.
- Never touch the main plug with wet hands.
- Never pull at the power cord. Do not chafe it over edges or squeeze it.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when hen operating.

Never store the appliance outside or a damp place.

Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Never use the appliance after a malfunction, e.g. when it has fallen down or was damaged in any other way.
- The producer does not take over any responsibility for misuse of the appliance, which was caused by ignoring the instruction manual.
- To avoid any dangers, any repairs at the appliance, e.g. replacing a damaged power cord, must be done by an authorized service partner.
- Before the first use all parts should be cleaned and completely dried.
- The appliance must be put on a stable, flat and heat resisting surface.
- The appliance must not be used with a Timer or any other remote system. During usage the outside surface of the appliance can get very hot.

Attention! Housing and glass get hot. Danger of burns! Please noted that the heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
Using the egg boiler:
• Before the first use clean the heating plate with a wet cloth
- Unwind the cable from the bottom of the appliance until desired length
- Place the appliance in horizontal position and connect it to a security plug
- Fill the measuring cup with water up to the intended line for the degree (soft-medium-hard) and quantity of eggs (1-6) and pour the water on the heating plate. Place then the egg tray on the boiler.
- The water quantity is calculated for medium size eggs. For harder eggs some more water has to be added, for softer eggs reduce the water a little bit.
- The eggs should be punched with the egg pik on the flat side before the eggs are put on the egg tray, to avoid a crack of the eggs.
- The egg pik is on the lower side of the measuring cup. Danger of injury!
- Put the lid on the appliance.
- The degree of softness is depending on the quantity and the weight of the eggs.
- The degree of softness is much depending on the own taste. Personal experience with the appliance leads to the wished results.
- Switch the appliance on. The appliance starts to heat and the control light is on.
• The eggs are ready when the buzzer sounds.
- Switch off the appliance by pressing the "On/Off" switch.
Attention:
- Hot steam can escape from the appliance when the lid is lifted.
- Cool the eggs under cold water. Please carry the egg tray only at the handles.
Steaming Function (Only EK3 Plus)
With this appliance it is possible to steam smaller quantities of food, like vegetables, fish, sausages, small pieces of meat or prebaked noodles.
1) Fill the measuring cup, but not higher than „hard 1“.
Do not overfill the appliance as the appliance will overfoam.
2) Put the egg tray on the appliance and place the steaming plate on the egg tray.
To poach eggs (eggs without shell) the poaching trays should be used and put on the egg tray.
3) The food to be steamed should be placed on the steaming plate.
4) Put the lid on the appliance and switch on the appliance.
5) After the water is cooked fully the limiter will switch off the appliance.
The appliance gives a sound.
6) Switch off the appliance and wait until the steam escaped. The lift off the lid.

The lid can be very hot ort he steam which escapes from the steam outlet can be hot. Danger of burns!

When food is steamed there can be some residues at the cooking plate. In this case the cooking plate should be cleaned with soapy water and vinegar.
Cleaning instruction
- Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning
- When the plug is removed from the electrical outlet, let the egg boiler cool down before cleaning
- Clean the heating element with a wet cloth
- In case of calcium deposits vinegar and water mixture in the heating plate and cook it for some minutes. Do not scratch with hard objects in the heating plate and do not use aggressive cleaning products.
- Only clean the appliance from the ouside with a wet cloth. Cover and egg tray are dishwasher proof.
Important: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
