Frequently Asked Questions - FCA613S Chief

How do I install the Chief FCA613S range hood?
Installation should be done by a qualified professional. The hood can be installed in ducted mode (venting outside) or recirculating mode with charcoal filters. Ensure proper mounting height: 65-75 cm above gas cooktops, 55-65 cm above electric cooktops.
How often should I clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned every month or more frequently with heavy use. Wash it by hand with mild detergent or in the dishwasher at low temperature. Allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
How do I replace the charcoal filter?
Charcoal filters are used only in recirculating mode. They cannot be washed and should be replaced every 3-6 months. Remove the grease filter, then remove the charcoal filter and insert the new one.
The hood is noisy. What can I do?
Check that the ducting is not blocked or too long. Ensure the hood is securely mounted. Clean the filters. A noise level of 55 dB at max speed is normal. If excessive, contact support.
Can I use the hood without ducting?
Yes, the FCA613S can be used in recirculating mode. You must install charcoal filters (not included) to absorb odors. The air is filtered and recirculated back into the kitchen.
How do I change the LED lights?
The LED lights are built-in and not user-replaceable. If they fail, contact authorized service for replacement.
What is the warranty period?
The Chief FCA613S comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Keep your receipt.
Why is the hood not sucking properly?
Check that the grease filter is clean. Ensure the ducting is not clogged. For recirculating mode, replace charcoal filters. Also, verify that the speed setting is adequate.
Does the hood have a remote control?
No, the FCA613S is controlled via electronic push buttons on the front panel. No remote control is included.
What are the dimensions of the hood?
The Chief FCA613S has a width of 600 mm, depth of 500 mm, and height of 800 mm (adjustable chimney). Weight is approximately 12 kg.
