Do I need to install drivers for the ST124DP?
No, the hub is plug and play. It works automatically with Windows, macOS, and Linux without additional drivers.
Can I charge my phone or tablet using this hub?
The ST124DP is bus-powered, meaning it draws power from the computer's USB port. It can charge small devices slowly, but it is not a dedicated charger. For fast charging, use a powered hub.
What is the maximum number of devices I can connect via daisy-chaining?

Yes, USB 2.0 hubs are backward compatible. USB 3.0 devices will work but at USB 2.0 speeds (480 Mbps).
Does the ST124DP require external power?
No, it is bus-powered and receives all power from the host computer's USB port. Some high-power devices (e.g., external hard drives) may not work reliably.
How can I clean the hub?
Disconnect the hub from the computer. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
Is the ST124DP compatible with Windows 10 and macOS Big Sur?
Yes, the hub is compatible with Windows 10/11, macOS 10.12 and later, and most Linux distributions.
What should I do if a connected device is not recognized?
First, try connecting the device directly to the computer to rule out device failure. Then reconnect the hub or try a different USB port. Ensure the hub is properly inserted.
Can I use this hub to connect multiple keyboards and mice?
Yes, the ST124DP works well with low-power peripherals like keyboards, mice, flash drives, and other USB 2.0 devices.
