1.1 Functions and features
The EM6027 is a compact outdoor camera with built-in infrared functionality. The EM6027 is equipped with a very handy swivel arm with Allen-screw for determining the correct viewing angle. The camera is waterproof and dustproof. Therefore, the camera is extremely suited for surveillance purposes such as observing the entry of your premises, parking lot, bicycle storage, living room and much more. Thanks to the built-in infrared functionality, the camera is able to realize images in a dark environment up to 15 meters. Due to the camera's high resolution, images will appear very sharp and with much detail. The EM6027 will be an indispensable part of your security system!
1.2 Packing contents
The following items need to be present:
• EM6027 high resolution camera with built-in infrared functionality
- Mounting set, consisting of 1x mounting stand, 3x screws, 3x plugs and an Allen key.
Note: In order to connect to a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) type EM6001, EM6005 or EM6015, a combined video+power cord is required, type EM6040. The EM6040 can be ordered at the local Eminent dealer.
2.0 Preparing the camera for usage
The EM6027 is designed to be mounted on walls or ceilings. Use the following steps to mount the camera correctly, in order to use the EM6027 in combination with the EM6001, EM6005 or EM6015 DVR unit.
- Take the camera, mounting stand and other parts of the mounting set out of the package.
- Use the mounting stand to mark three holes at the location where you want to mount the camera. (If necessary: You can twist the mounting stand of the camera in order to make the marking easier. As soon as you have marked the holes, you can twist the mounting stand back on the camera).
- Drill three holes and fill the holes with the supplied plugs.
- Mount the mounting stand to the wall using the three supplied screws. If the mounting stand is still attached to the camera, you can twist of the mounting stand again, in order to make mounting the screws easier.
- Mount the camera on the mounting stand.
- Adjust the camera using the supplied Allen key and Allen-screw, in order to make the room you want to observe clearly visible.
- If the camera's view is overexposed, you can slide the metal hood backwards or forward in order to minimize overexposing.
- Connect a video cable (BNC) and power cable to the camera.
- Connect the other side of the video cable (BNC) to your EM6001, EM6005 or EM6015.
- The video cable can be connected directly to one of the four video inputs.
- The power cable needs to be connected to a power distribution splitter in order to provide the camera the needed 12 Volts DC.
- If necessary, setup your EM6001, EM6005 or EM6015 in order to use this camera. (Consult the EM6001, EM6005 or EM6015's users manual for the correct settings)
- The camera is now ready to be used.
Hint: The EM6027 itself is water and dustproof. However, the plugs connected to the device(s) are not! Make sure these plugs cannot get wet. Also, make sure the plugs and power cords are out of side, for example, with insulation material.

3.0 Frequently asked questions
Q: Where is the supplied Allen key for?
A: Using the Allen key you can loosen the swivel arm to adjust the camera's position. This way you can determine the camera's view.
Q: What is the main advantage of the EM6027's high resolution?
A: Thanks to the high resolution, the EM6027 is ideal for surveillance purposes. Images will appear sharper and with more detail than ever before.

The five-year Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent products unless mentioned otherwise before or during the moment of purchase. When having bought a second-hand Eminent product the remaining period of warranty is measured from the moment of purchase by the product's first owner.
The Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent products and parts inextricably connected to and/or mounted on the main product. Power supply adapters, batteries, antennas and all other products not integrated in or directly connected to the main product and/or products of which, without reasonable doubt, can be assumed that wear and tear show a different pattern than the main product are not covered by the Eminent warranty. Products are not covered by the Eminent warranty when subjected to incorrect/improper use, external influences and/or when opened by parties other than Eminent.
