Li-ion Battery Charger
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not store, place, or use the charger where it may come into contact with excess heat, water or moisture.
• High-voltage internal components present the risk of electrical shock.
• Make sure the XLR cable is securely locked into the port before use. You should hear an audible click. - Charge only on a vibration-free, dry surface at room temperature.
- Should you ever notice smoke or a strange odor coming out of the charger, immediately unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet. Using the charger under these conditions can cause fire and electric shock.
- Do not short-circuit the terminals of your battery or charger.
- Do not attempt to disassemble any part of the charger.
- Use this charger with Watson Pro batteries only.
- The charger, adapters, and batteries may feel warm during the charging process. This is normal.
- Please remove any battery after fully charged.
- Unplug the AC cable or 4-pin XLR cable from the power outlet and clean the area around the prongs of the plug when necessary. The presence of dust around the prongs can cause fire.
CONNECTING POWER
- Use the included AC power cable and plug the three pronged end into a properly grounded AC outlet.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cable into the WatsonPro battery charger's AC Input port.
- Toggle the power switch to the Charger position. The charging status indicators should turn green when you power on the device.
ATTACHING A BATTERY TO THE CHARGER
To attach a battery to either the 3-Stud or V-Mount interface, follow these steps:
- Place the charger on a flat surface.
- Align the 3-Stud Mount (C-AM-4E) or V-Mount (C-VM-4E) on the battery with the appropriate slots in the charging plate.
- Slide the battery into place to lock. You should hear a click.
CONNECTING DEVICES
- Use the included 4-pin XLR cable and plug the male end into the charger's DC out port until it clicks.
- Plug the other end of the 4-pin XLR cable into your device. This can be a video camera or monitor as well as lighting fixture.
- Toggle the Charger/DC out switch to the DC out position. The DC out indicator should glow red.
RELEASING THE BATTERY FROM THE CHARGER
- Press and hold the battery release latch.
- Slide the battery out from the charger slots, and separate it from the charging plate.

DC OUTPUT
The charger can supply DC output power at 15 V and 4.0 A. Make sure to select DC out on the Charger / DC out switch and that the charger is plugged in to an AC outlet.
