• To get the best results, install the window airconditioner at window sill level.
- Ensure that neither the air-throw outlet and air-intake grill is blocked by any furniture or other such equipment, for a distance of at least three feet.
- Identify the area within your room which you are most likely to occupy. Then ensure that there is a line-of-sight view from there the window airconditioner, because otherwise you cannot use your remote control conveniently.
• Install the airconditioner as much to the centre – of the wall as possible. Avoid using a corner.
- Do not install the airconditioner too close to an entrance which is likely to be opened and closed frequently.
- Outside the room, ensure that the hot air from the rear end of the unit discharges freely into the open atmosphere. A minimum clearance of 30cm on the two sides and 1.0m at the rear of the external portion of your airconditioner is advisable.
- Select a location that supports the weight of your airconditioner. also, there should be no vibration as that results in increased noise.

Procedure

  1. Remove the tape from the front panel.
  2. Insert the unit into the installation opening space, which should be created slightly larger than the unit size. When installing the unit, it should be slanted in backwards (by 10-15mm).
  3. Fill up gaps between the cabinet (unit) and the wood work/support structure with sponge or foam.

Support & Protection

• Use Iron Support

If the installation opening is not strong enough to support the airconditioner, iron supports should be installed externally on the building.

• Use Sunshade Board

Install a sunshade over the unit on the outside to prevent direct sunlight on it, as well as to protect it from falling objects.

Drain Pan (Compulsory addition of drain pan) To achieve maximum cooling efficiency, the air conditioner is designed to splash the condensation water on the condenser coil.

In order to avoid the splashing sound, an external drain can be provided by using the following This may however cause a small loss of performance.

  1. Slide out the chassis from the cabinet.
  2. Remove the rubber plug from the body base plate.
  3. Install the drain pan at the corner of the cabinet with two screws.
  4. Connect the drain hose to the outlet on the bottom of the drain pan.
  5. Slide the chassis into its original place in the cabinet.

Relocation

Using the Remote Control

CHANGING BATTERIES

  1. Slightly press the battery cover where it is marked in the arrowhead direction to open the battery compartment of the remote control.
  2. Take out the old batteries.
  3. Insert two new AAA 1.5V dry batteries. When inserting the new batteries, pay attention to the polarity.
  4. Reattach the back cover of the remote control.

NOTE :

  • Do not use old batteries, or batteries of different brands as this can cause malfunction of the wireless remote control.
  • Remove the batteries if the remote control is not going to be used for a long time.
    ☐ Operation should be within the receiving range of the remote control.
    ☐ The remote control should be placed at least 1m away from television or audio systems.

BE SURE TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING :

  • During operation, make sure that the remote control is aimed at the control panel on the airconditioner.
  • Do not drop or throw remote control.
  • Do not place the remote control in a location that is exposed to direct sunlight or next to a heating unit or other heat source.

Remote Control Operation

Key on the Unit Display :

There is only one Keys on the Receiver Unit.

Manual Auto Button 📋/1. Press 10 Seconds or less (Automatic Mode)
Fan speed will be set to "AUTO" and the thermostat will be set for 24°C.
To stop operation, either press the MANUAL AUTO button once again.
➢ Swing should be run on Left to right.
What will be swing status at this manual mode?
➢ Swing should be run on Left to right. Press 10 Seconds or more (Forced Cooling)
The forced cooling operation is used at the time of installation.
When the forced cooling operation starts by any chance, press START/STOP button to stop the operation.
➢ After entering in Forced cooling mode machine follow below steps:
➢ Display LED glow (left green → Orange → Right green)
▶ Compressor Start immediate.
➢ Swing start immediate (Left to right).
➢ Fan speed change (Low → Med → High), Fan run on every speed for 30 sec.
➢ Check all the sensors error codes if any abnormality occurs (Error code detect). Machine should come out from forced cooling mode and turn off machine (LED blink as per detect error)
If no any abnormality, Machine turn off after 3 min.
This statement is newly added from previous. Need to update in software.
Update logic in software.

Remote Control Features :

Various Keys & the function associated with them are as follows: -

  • START/STOP : To switch the system ON or OFF.
  • SET TEMP UP : Used for incrementing the preset temperature.
  • SET TEMP Dawn : Used for decrementing the preset temperature.

- Mode : Changes the mode to Cool, Dry, Fan, Auto.

• FAN : To change fan speed (Low, Med, high, Auto).

• SUPER WAVE : To change Swing Mode.

- Sleep : To activate the sleep function and to change the time of sleep function.

- Timer OFF : To Set Off timer.

- Timer ON : To Set ON timer.

- CANCEL : To cancel SLEEP TIMER/TIMER OFF/TIMER ON.

- Test Run : This button is used when testing the air conditioner after installation.

Do not use under normal condition (Logic is same as forced cooling).

Remote Control Operation

Modes of Operations : Various modes of operation of the unit are as follows :-

  • Auto Mode
    Cool Mode
    Dry Mode
    Fan Mode

Auto Mode :-

  • Set Temp Change between 18^ to 30^ .
  • Fan Speed can be selected by the user with the Transmitter (Low, Medium, High or Auto – fan speed).
  • Swing mode can be change.
  • When Automatic operation first selected, the fan will operate at low speed for 1 minute, during which time the unit detects the room conditions and selects the proper operating mode.

If the difference between thermostat setting and actual room temperature is more than +2^ Cooling operation If the difference between thermostat setting and actual room temperature is less than +2^ Dry operation.

- If the mode automatically selected by the unit is not what you wish, select one of the mode operation (COOL, DRY and FAN.)

• After the system mode is selected, it will not change with indoor Ambient.

- The operation mode will be reselected after the Power OFF OR Mode selection or change set temp.

Cool Mode:-

• Set Temp Change between 18°C to 30°C
- In this mode of operation, compressor will be switched on after a delay time of three minute depending on the differential of Room temperature & Set Temperature.
- Preset temperature and fan speed can be changed by the user.
• Swing mode can be change.
- Fan Speed can be selected by the user with the Transmitter (Low, Medium, High or Auto – fan speed).

• Compressor will work as per the following conditions:

  • Compressor will cut off, If Room temperature= Preset temperature - 1°C or Below
  • Compressor will cut in, If Room temperature = Preset temperature + 1°C or Above

Dry Mode :-

  • Set Temp Change between 18^ to 30^ .
  • Fan speed can't change, fix on Auto.
  • Swing mode can be change.
    Initial startup: - The comp on /off duration is controlled by difference between room temperature and set temperature as follows: -

  • RT = ST + 2°C or above - Comp ON for 15 min OFF for 5min.

  • RT=ST + 1°C - Comp ON for 10 min OFF for 10min.
    • RT = ST - Comp ON for 10 min OFF for 10min.
  • RT = ST-1°C - Comp ON for 10 min OFF for 10min.
  • RT = ST-2°C or below - Comp ON for 5 min OFF for 15min. Where, RT=Room temperature & ST=Preset temperature.

Remote Control Operation

Fan Mode : -

  • In this mode, Compressor will be switched off.
  • Fan Speed can be selected by the user with the Transmitter (Low, Medium and High–fan speed, Auto).
  • Swing mode can be change

Additional Features :-

  • Auto fan speed (in Cool mode/Auto mode/Dry Mode): While increasing room temperature:
  • Low fan change to medium when room temperature> set temperature. + 2°C.
  • Medium fan change to high when room temperature > set temperature + 4°C While decreasing room temperature:
  • High fan change to medium when room temperature< set +2°C
  • Medium fan change to low when room temperature < set temperature.

• Auto Fan Speed (In Fan Mode): -

• If Tr > 27°C (Fan run on High Speed).

- 24^ < Tr ≤ 27 (Medium Fan Speed).

- Tr≤24°C (Low Fan Speed).

Note: - From High to Low Speed delay time is 3 min.

Sleep (Cooling/Dry) :-

  • Like OFF timer Function, the SLEEP timer is used to set the length of time until air conditioner operation is stooped.
  • When the SLEEP timer is set, the thermostat setting is automatically raised 1°C every 1 hour.
  • When the thermostat has been raised a total of 2^ C the thermostat setting at that time is maintained until the set time has elapsed, at which time the air conditioner automatically turns off.

Remote Control Operation

To Use the SLEEP TIMER

While the air conditioner is operating or stopped, press the SLEEP button 📋SLEEP.

The SLEEP TIMER indicator ( ⭕ ⭕▶○ ) on the remote controller's display will light.

Within 3 seconds after the indicator lights, the time can be changed by pressing SLEEP button once again.

To Cancel the TIMER

Press the CANCEL button CANCEL.

To Change the TIMER Settings

To Change Operating Conditions

If you wish to change the operating conditions (mode, fan speed, thermostat setting), after making the timer setting, wait until the entire display reappears, then press the appropriate buttons to change to the desired operating condition.

MANUAL AUTO button

  • Pressed 10 seconds or less (AUTOMATIC mode)
  • Fan speed will be set to "AUTO" and the thermostat will be set for 24 °C.
  • To stop operation, either press the MANUAL AUTO button once again.
    ● Pressed 10 seconds or more (Forced cooling)
  • The forced cooling operation is used at the time of installation. Only for authorized service personnel's use
  • When the forced cooling operation starts by any chance, press START/STOP button to stop the operation.

Signals from the remote control unit are received here.

OPERATION indicator (Green)

● Lights when unit is operating.
● Flashes quickly for about 1 second when a signal is received from the remote control unit.

TIMER indicator (Orange)

Lights during ON TIMER, OFF TIMER, and SLEEP TIMER.

If the TIMER indicator flashes when the timer is operating, it indicates that a fault has occurred with the timer setting.

Device Protection Measures

Controller starts with a default memory if the nonvolatile memory fails.

  • Mode : Cool
  • Timer : Off
  • Set temperature: 25^ C
  • Fan Speed : High
  • Swing Motor : ON

Room Sensor Failure: -

- Room sensor failure occurs when the room sensor is short or open. Compressor gets on for 20 minutes & off for 07 minutes & repeats this cycle irrespective of the set temperature.

Coil Sensor Failure: -

- Coil sensor failure occurs when the coil sensor is short or open. Compressor works like cool mode.

Evaporator Unit Frost prevention (Cool mode / Dry Mode):

  • When ECT * Reached 2 deg. C or below for 1 min
    Compressor cut off immediately and Fan runs with low Speed.
  • When ECT* Reached on 12 deg. C or above.
    Compressor will turn on according to Room Temperature (With 3 minutes' delay)

• (ECT: Evaporator Coil Temperature.)

Tips for Comfort and Economy

Do not overcool the room :

This is not good for health and wastes electricity.

Keep blinds or curtains closed :

Do not let direct sunshine enter the room when the airconditioner is in operation.

Keep room temperature uniform :

Adjust vertical and horizontal airflow direction to ensure uniform temperature in the room.

Make sure that the doors and windows are closed :

Avoid opening doors and windows as much as possible to ensure effective air conditioning in the room.

Clean the air filter regularly :

Blockages in the air filter reduce dehumidifying effects. Clean the air filter at least once every two weeks.

Ventilate the room occasionally :

Since windows are kept closed, it is a good idea to open them and ventilate the room periodically. When starting the unit, curtains and windows should be closed to prevent loss of coolling.

Caution

  • Do not pull out the power cord.
  • Damage to the cord may result in serious electric shocks.
  • Do not use the airconditioner for purposes other than for cooling the room.
  • Do not block the air intake and outlet vents. This causes lowered performance and irregular operation.
  • Do not insert sticks or other object into the vents as it is dangerous to touch the electric components and the fan.
  • Select the most appropriate temperature to suit the prevent weather conditions.
  • Do not use heating apparatus in the vicinity. The airconditioner's plastic parts may melt if exposed to excessive heat.
  • Avoid exposing yourself and others directly to a continuous unidirectional air flow for long periods. This is not recommended for health reasons.
  • always wait at least three minutes before switching the airconditioner on agian after you have switched it off.
  • Always turn off the airconditioner and main power supply before cleaning, to ensure safety.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

Turn off power before cleaning. 1.

  1. Use soft cloth while cleaning the cabinet. If the cabinet is very dirty, dip cloth into warm water below 40^ C. The air filter behind the intake grille should be washed at least once every two weeks or as often as it needs cleaning.
  2. Do not use gas, benzene, solvent, wash, chemical solvent etc. for cleaning
  3. Do not splash water directly on the indoor unit as, it may damage the microcomputer or circuit plate.

Air Filter

As mentioned, the air filter behind the intake grille should be washed at least once every two weeks or as often as it needs cleaning.

Cleaning the Air Filter

  1. To remove the air intake grille, grasp the tab on the filter and pull to take out.
  2. Vacuum clean the filter on the dusty side to remove light dust.
  3. Wash the filter, cleaner side up under gently flowing water to wash out accumulated dust and lint.
  4. If the filter is very dirty, use a mild household detergent in the wash water. Let the filter dry thoroughly before reinstalling it. If necessary, please ask professional personnel to clean it.
  5. Check if air inlet and outlet of outdoor unit is blocked.
