• During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.
• Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
• Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated.
• It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way.

Daily Use

- Do not place hot items on the plastic components of the appliance.

- Do not place food products directly against the rear wall.

- Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has thawed.

- Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.

- Do not place carbonated drinks in the freezer as the pressure on the bottle may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance.

- Ice cubes can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance.

Care and Cleaning

• Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet before performing maintenance.
• Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.
• Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper.
• Regularly examine the drain in the fridge for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain. If the drain is blocked, water will collect in the bottom of the appliance.

Installation

• Unpack the appliance and check for damage. Do not connect the appliance to an electrical outlet if it is damaged. Contact help.Kogan.com for support.
• It is advised to wait at least 2 hours before connecting the power plug to the electrical outlet.
• Ensure the appliance has adequate air circulation to prevent overheating.
• Wherever possible, spacers should be used to avoid warm components touching the wall.
• The appliance must not be located close to sources of heat, such as radiators.

Service

• Any electrical work required to service the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Energy Saving

• Do not put hot food inside the appliance.
• Do not pack food close together as this prevents air circulating.
• Ensure food does not touch the rear wall.
• Keep the doors closed in the instance of a power outage.
• Do not open the doors frequently or keep them open for a long time.
• Do not set the thermostat to exceedingly cold temperatures.
• Some accessories, such as drawers, can be removed for larger storage volume and lower energy consumption.

Responsible Disposal

- At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household rubbish. Electrical products contain substances that can have a detrimental effect on the environment and human health if disposed of inappropriately.

- Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and dispose of it appropriately for recycling and recovery of the refrigerant and blowing agent. Contact your municipal authorities for advice on recycling facilities in your area.

- WARNING: This fridge contains flammable refrigerants and insulation blowing gases, which must be removed before disposal.

- If you are discarding the appliance, pull the plug out of the electrical outlet, cut the power cable (as close to the appliance as you can) and remove the door to prevent electric shock and children climbing inside when playing.

- If the appliance has a spring latch instead of a magnetic door seal, remove the spring latch before disposal.

INSTALLATION

Space Requirements

• The following space requirements must be adhered to when installing the appliance:
• Minimal exposure to direct sunlight.
• Enough space for the doors to open easily.
• Level flooring.
• Flat surface.
• Allow clearance to the right, left, back and top when installing. This will help reduce power consumption.

Positioning

Install this appliance in a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class indicated on the rating plate of the appliance:

Location

• The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight, etc.
• Ensure that air can circulate freely around the back of the appliance.
• To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum space between the top of the appliance and the wall unit must be at least 100mm. Ideally, however, the appliance should not be positioned below a overhanging wall unit.

Leveling Feet

• To avoid vibration, the appliance must be levelled.

- If required, adjust the leveling feet to compensate for the uneven floor.

- The front should be slightly higher than the rear to aid in closing the door.

- Leveling feet can be turned easily by slightly tipping the fridge.

- Turn the leveling feet anticlockwise to lower the fridge, and clockwise to raise it.

Note:

Noise created by the compressor and refrigerant circulation during operation is normal.

Electrical Connection

- Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate corresponds to your domestic power supply.

• The appliance must be earthed.

- Plug the power plug into an electrical outlet. Allow the fridge to sit for at least 2 hours before turning on the power.

• The plug must be accessible after installation.

Door Reversal

Note:

If you are not confident in performing the door reserving procedure, consult a qualified trade professional.

• Depending on the location of the refrigerator, you may require reversing the position of the door.
• To avoid injury to yourself or your property, it is recommended that 2 people are present during the door reversal process.
• Ensure that your refrigerator is unplugged and empty.
• Retain all removed parts to reuse them later.

Tools required (not provided):

• Flat head screwdriver.
  • Phillips head screwdriver.
• Spanner.

Door reversal:

1. Close the upper door. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screw from the top hinge cover. Remove the hinge cover, disconnect the terminal, then unscrew the top hinge and carefully take off the upper door.

1. Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully remove the plastic cover and wire sleeve, taking caution with the internal wiring. Move the wire and connector to the opposite side, reattach the wire sleeve, and secure the cover back in place.

1. Unscrew the middle hinge using a Phillips head screwdriver and remove the lower door.

1. Lay the refrigerator down carefully. Remove the adjustable feet as shown, then unscrew the lower hinge using a Phillips head screwdriver.

1. Unscrew and remove the bottom hinge pin, flip the bracket over, and reinstall it.

1. Reattach the bracket with the bottom hinge pin in place. Replace both adjustable feet and position the lower door correctly.

1. Unscrew the right middle stopper with the metal block from the bottom of the upper door. Install the left middle stopper and metal block on the left side of the upper door, following the same procedure as for the lower door.

1. Rotate the middle hinge 180 degrees and transfer it to the correct position on the left. Insert the middle hinge pin into the upper hole of the lower door, then secure it with screws.

1. Attach the upper door, fix the upper hinge to the cabinet, and reconnect the wire.

1. Take the left hinge cover from the accessory bag and install it with the top hinge, then install the hole cover on the right side.

1. Detach the fridge and freezer door gaskets, rotate them, and reattach to complete the door reversal.

OPERATION

Before First Use

• Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap, then dry thoroughly.
• Do not use detergents or abrasive chemicals, as these will damage the finish.

Temperature Setting

Freezer temperature setting:

• The internal temperature is controlled by a sensor. There are 3 settings: 'SUMMER', 'NORMAL' and 'WINTER'.
• It is recommended to set the temperature to 'NORMAL'.
• Set the temperature to 'SUMMER' in summer or on hot days.
• If the ambient temperature is very high (above 43^ C), it is recommended to adjust the temperature control knob to the dotted line on the left.
• Set the temperature to 'WINTER' in winter or on cold days.
• If the ambient temperature is very low (below 10^ C), it is recommended to adjust the temperature control knob to the dotted line on the right.
• The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is particularly hot, or if the door is opened frequently.

Fridge temperature setting:

• The internal temperature is controlled by a sensor. There are 4 settings: 'OFF', 'COLD', 'COLDER' and 'COLDEST'.
• 'COLD' is the warmest setting and 'COLDEST' is the coolest setting.
• The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is particularly hot, or if the door is opened frequently.

Note:

• It is recommended to only adjust the fridge temperature control knob seasonally. For day to day temperature adjustments, refer to the 'Control Panel' section.
• Neither the fridge nor freezer works when the fridge temperature control knob is turned to 'OFF'.

Drawer Humidity

• Low humidity: move the regulator to the left.
  • High humidity: move the regulator to the right.

Control Panel Operation

• Press a button to illuminate the control panel. The control panel will illuminate for 3 seconds at the previously selected mode and temperature settings.
• The control panel will lock automatically after 2 seconds of no user input.
• 60 seconds after locking, the control panel will turn off, with only the selected temperature indicator remaining illuminated.

Fridge Mode

• Press the Fridge button to cycle through the temperature setting options (2°C, 3°C, 4°C, 6°C, 8°C).
• When the temperature is selected, the corresponding indicator will flash for 5 seconds and then remain solid.

Power Cool Mode

• Press the Power Cool button to enter Power Cool mode. The power cool indicator will illuminate, and the temperature of the fridge will rapidly cool down until it reaches 2°C.
• Press the Power Cool button to manually exit Power Cool mode. The power cool indicator will turn off.
• The fridge will automatically exit Power Cool mode after 3 hours.

Lock/Unlock

• The lock deactivates the function of all buttons.
• Press and hold the Power Cool button for 3 seconds to lock/unlock the control panel.
• The lock indicator will illuminate when the control panel is locked.
• The control panel will lock automatically after 2 seconds of no user input.

Accessories

Adjustable Shelves

The walls of the fridge are equipped with runners so that the shelves can be adjusted and removed as desired.

Positioning the Door Shelves

• The door shelves can be placed at different heights so food packages of all sizes can be stored.
• Gently slide the shelf upwards to remove it, then reposition as required.

Storing Food

Freezer:

• The freezer is used to freeze food, store frozen food and make ice cubes.
• Do not put fresh and frozen food next to each other. The frozen food may thaw.
• When freezing large amounts of fresh food (such as meat or fish), divide it into small pieces before putting it in the freezer to speed up freezing.

- Abide by the storage times recommended by food manufacturers on the packaging. If there is no information on the packaging, food should not be frozen for longer than three months from the date of purchase.

- When purchasing frozen food, make sure that it was frozen at a suitable temperature and that the packaging is not damaged.

- Frozen food should be kept in suitable individual packages to ensure that adjacent food cannot be contaminated.

- Consume thawed and defrosted foods immediately, do not refreeze them.

- In case of prolonged power failure or malfunction, remove the stored frozen food and check if it is still edible, then store them in a sufficiently cool place or in another appliance.

- To defrost food, remove it from the freezer and let it defrost at room temperature or in the fridge. To defrost food quickly, you can use the defrost function on your microwave, for example.

- If you only want to defrost part of a pack, remove the portion you need and immediately close the rest of the pack. In this way, you will avoid ‘freezer burn’ and will reduce ice formation on the remaining foods.

Fridge:

- To reduce moisture and subsequent ice build-up, never put liquid into the fridge in unsealed containers. Frost tends to concentrate in the coolest parts of the evaporator. Storing uncovered liquids results in a more frequent need for defrosting.

- Never put warm foods in the fridge. These should first cool down at room temperature to ensure adequate air circulation.

- Foods or food containers should not touch the back wall of the fridge because they could freeze to the wall.

- Do not regularly open the door.

- Meat and fish (in packaging or plastic) can be placed in the fridge and consumed in 1–2 days.

- Fruit and vegetables can be placed in the fruit and vegetables box without packaging.

CLEANING & CARE

• Disconnect the fridge from the electrical outlet before undertaking any routine maintenance. Allow at least 5 minutes before restarting the fridge, as frequent starting may damage the compressor.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by Kogan.com.
• Do not try to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance by yourself. If repair is needed, contact Kogan.com.
• Check the door gasket regularly to make sure there is no debris. Clean the door gasket with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent.
• The interior of the fridge should be cleaned regularly to avoid odour.
• Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside of the fridge, with two tablespoons of baking soda and warm water.
• Then rinse with water and wipe clean. After cleaning, open the door and let it air dry before turning on the power.
• For areas that are difficult to clean, such as narrow gaps or corners, it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag or brush, and when necessary, combined with auxiliary tools to ensure bacteria does not accumulate in these areas.
• Remove the dust on the back of the fridge at least once a year to avoid a fire hazard and to conserve energy.
• Wipe the outer surface of the fridge with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water and then wipe dry.
• Do not use hard brushes, steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid, or alkaline items, which may damage the fridge.
• Boiling water and organic solvents such as benzene may deform or damage plastic parts.
• Do not rinse the fridge with water or other liquids during cleaning to avoid short circuiting.

Heavy build-up of frost on the door seal.	Door seal is not airtight.	Carefully warm the leaking sections of the door seal with a hair dryer (on a cool setting). At the same time, shape the warmed door seal by hand so that it sits correctly.
Unusual noises.	The appliance is not level.	Re-adjust the feet.
	The appliance is touching a wall or another object.	Move the appliance slightly.
	A component, e.g., a pipe, at the rear of the appliance is touching another part of the appliance or a wall.	If necessary, carefully bend the component out of the way.
Indicator is flashing.	Sensor fault.	Contact help.Kogan.com for support.
