REMOVING MINERAL BUILDUP
One common problem in clothes steamer is the mineral buildup caused by the high percent of mineral in the water as the geologic problem. Mineral residue inside of the internal heater can cause intermittent steaming or no steaming at all in some case.
The best way to avoid this problem is to use de-mineralized or distilled water in the unit. The procedure below can be used to clear mineral buildup. If you are unable to use de-mineralized water or distilled water, we recommend you use this procedure monthly to avoid mineral buildup.
IMPORTANT: Unit should remain unplugged during cleaning procedure.
- Turn the unit off and unplug the power plug.
- Make a mixture of 50% vinegar and 50% water. In most cases, 1 cup of this mixture will be sufficient.
- Slowly pour the water-vinegar mixture into the reservoir, wait 3 minutes then pour it out.
- If the procedure above does not return the unit to a normal operation, the unit may need to be checked by the product supplier.
Note:
MINERAL-BUILDUP WILL CAUSE SPITTING. WE SUGGEST YOU TO CLEAN THE STEAMER REGULARLY TO AVOID SPITTING OR WATER LEAK.
