Getting Started

Before plugging in for the first time, allow the refrigerator to stabilize for at least one hour. Allow the freezer compartment to cool for 2 to 3 hours before storing food.

1 Avoid locations affected by draughts or dampness.

2 For optimum operation, normal room temperature is recommended. Avoid locations in direct sunlight, near heaters, radiators, stoves or ovens.

3 Allow a 100mm space between the refrigerator and the wall. If your refrigerator is going into a recessed area, allow at least 300mm clearance above the refrigerator.

CAUTIONS WHILE USING

1 Do not allow water to splash onto the refrigerator.

-Water impairs the insulation of electric parts and may cause an electrical shock or a fire hazard.

- Heat from the refrigeration unit may ignite flammable aerosols.

3 Do not allow unattended children to play in our around refrigerators and other large appliances. The child may get hurt or they could damage the appliance.

-Do not allow children to hand on to the refrigerator door.

4 For optimum operation, do not leave the door open for any longer than necessary.

-Leaving the door open allows warmer air to enter the refrigerator and causes the refrigeration unit to use more energy to maintain the temperature.

5 Do not store volatile chemicals such as ether and benzene in the refrigerator.

- The fumes, besides damaging food, can build up and cause an explosion.

THE NO NO NO

1. Do not use the refrigerator if it is not operating correctly or has been damaged. Disconnect it from the power supply and call your local service center.

-If the power cord is damaged, avoid a hazard by replacing it through the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person

7 Always be careful of not banging your head on the bracket lock while storing or taking out food.

8 Frequent opening of door can cause excessive frost in the unit that will reduce the cooling momentarily, this is a general phenomenon especially in coastal or high humidity area. It is not a malfunction. Opening of door should be avoided while defrosting.

-Avoid keeping freezer door open for long time to prevent frost accumulation.

REPLACING THE LAMP

Press upper tab of the lamp cover with some tool such as ⊙ driver and pull it out.

2Turn the existing lamp bulb and replace it with a new one.

- Replace the lamp cover by aligning the cover at the top (☐) and carefully pressing it into place (☐)

STORING FOOD

Store food in small portions (Optional)

Seal food in containers with lids, in plastic wrap or in plastic bags to prevent drying and the mingling of odors.

Allow hot food and drinks to cool to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator or freezer.

Allow sufficient space between stuff to help the circulation of cool air.

Place liquid at the front of the refrigerator to avoid freezing.

Wash dry fruits and vegetables before placing them in the refrigerator.

HOW TO USE

Temperature control

COLDEST

Turn the Temperature Control to "COLDEST" if you;

• have a lot of food to store (refrigerator or freezer)
• want to make ice (freezer)
• require fast freezing (freezer)

NORMAL

Turn the Temperature Control to the midway point between "COLDEST" and "COLD" for normal refrigerating or freezing mode.

COLD

Turn the Temperature Control to "COLD" if you want to store only a small amount of food in the refrigerator or freezer.

NOTE

• When the air surrounding the refrigerator is below 5°C, turn the Temperature Control to "COLD" to avoid freezing.
• Apart from above mentioned Knob setting settings if you desire to increase or reduce the cooling, turn the Knob clockwise or anticlockwise beyond the marked positions respectively.

Ice Cube Maker (Premium Type)

Fill the ice cube tray with water taking care not to overfill.

Slide the tray onto the ice cube shelf.

When ice is formed, remove the ice cubes from the ice cube tray by twisting the ice tray knobs. Make sure the ice storage bin is beneath the ice cube tray (see diagram below).

Ice trays are recommended to make ice faster.

Chiller Compartment (Premium only)

This compartment helps preserve the taste of food and prolongs its freshness by freezing the surface of the food only. Use the chiller for storing cheese, meat, snacks, fish or any food to be used soon.

Bio-Fresh Zone (Select Model)

This compartment maintains the moisture and freshness of vegetables. It maintains necessary humidity and protects the vegetables from direct draughts of cold air which prevents drying.

To increase humidity, set the humidity control to high. To decrease humidity, set it to low.

Fresh Tech (Premium only)

This technology increases Polyphenol, Chlorophyll & Vitamin content in all stuff kept in and above vegetable box.

The vegetable bin is not suitable for storing tropical fruits such as bananas, pineapples, etc.

LEVELING THE APPLIANCE

To compensate for any floor unevenness, adjust the height of the appliance by turning the adjustable feet clockwise or counterclockwise. The adjustable feet are at the front along the lower edge of the refrigerator chassis.

When the refrigerator leans to the left, turn the left front foot counterclockwise.

When the refrigerator leans to the right, turn the right front foot counterclockwise.

CLEANING THE REFRIGERATOR

1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power during this procedure.
2. Remove the food and store safety to avoid warming a deterioration

3. Clean surfaces with a dampened cloth and a mild detergent.

4. Dry all cleaned surfaces with a clean cloth.

5. Plug in the refrigerator and allow 1\~2 hours for adequate cooling before restoring food items.

Freezer Shelf (Premium model)

- Pull the shelf forward and slide it out.

- Pull the shelf forward until it meets the stopper.

- Tilt the front of the shelf up and pull it out.

- Move Shelf Plus forward as shown in the picture.

- The Shelf Plus is flexible and will come out of the rear.

- Pull the vegetable bin forward and take it out of the refrigerator.

• Pull the chiller compartment towards you until it meets the stopper.
• Tilt the front upward and pull the compartment out.

When the cover is away from the guard.

1. Stick the left boss of the cover into the hole as shown.
2. Lift the cover up at the end.
3. Push the right boss of the cover into the hole.

BEFORE CALLING SERVICE

Problem	Probable cause	Solution
1. Refrigerator not working	- Power plug not connected properly- Input electricity supply voltage Low/High- Stabilizer not working	Connect the power plug properly- Use stabilizer for rated voltage - Connect the power plug directly to wall socket. If refrigerator works, call an electrician to fix the stabilizer problem
2. Excess Cooling	- Temperature control knob set towards COLDEST cooling position	Rotate the Temperature control knob towards COLD cooling position
3. Low Cooling	- Temperature control knob set towards COLD cooling position- No clearance from sides- Stuff stored in front of air holes- Hot food stored inside- Frequent open/close of door and door open for long time	Rotate the Temperature control knob towards COLDEST cooling Position- Keep refrigerator away from wall for better perfc - Maintain gap between stuff & air holes- Don't Store hot food till it comes to room temperature - Avoid door opening for long time
4. Noise Legs of Refrigerator not leveled properly- Refrigerator installed too close to wall- Objects behind or under the refrigerator- Noise like water flowing	- Install refrigerator in a flat/ stable surface & adjust front legs- Maintain proper gap from the walls- Remove the objects from behind or under the refrigerator- This sound is generated by the flow of the refrigerant & not a malfunction
5. Smell Food spoiled inside the refrigerator- Improper covering of food	- Clean the spoiled food & properly dry the spoiled area- Store the food in sealed containers or wrap properly
6. Frost inside Door not closed properly Check the door- Hot stuff kept inside	- to be closed fully, There should be no gap- Leave food & liquid to cool before placing them in the refrigerator
7. Slow ice formation	- Incorrect setting of Temperature control knob- Pots / Bowl used for Ice making Use	- Rotate the freezer Temp control knob towards COLDEST cooling position Ice tray for Ice making
