HOW TO USE
Before Starting to Cut

- Seat the person so that their head is approximately at your eye level.
- Before cutting, always comb the hair so it is tangle free and dry.
To Attach a Comb
- Hold the comb with its teeth upward.
- Slide it onto and along the clipper blade until the front of the comb firmly sits against the clipper and click into position.
- To remove, holding the clipper with the blades facing away from you, firmly push the comb upward and away from the blades.
Comb Settings
• Each comb attachment is marked accordingly on its outside middle surface.
- Please note a 0.5mm cutting length can be achieved from holding the clipper, with no comb attachment, perpendicular to the skin. A 1.0mm cutting length is achieved from holding the clipper.
- This is with the taper setting set at the closest gap between the blades.

Instructions for Hair Cutting
Note: For even cutting, allow the trimmer comb/blade to cut its way through the hair. Do not force it through quickly. If you are cutting for the first time, start with the maximum length trimmer comb, until you know how short you would like your hair to be.
Note: The comb guide lengths described for use in the steps below are an example only. If you want a longer or shorter hair cut you will need to adjust the comb guide lengths to suit your requirements.
Step 1 - Nape of the Neck
- Use 3mm or 6mm guide comb.
- Hold the clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Begin starting at the centre of the head at the base of the neck.
- Slowly lift the clipper, working upwards and outwards through the hair, trimming just a little at a time.
Step 2 - Back of the Head
With the 12mm comb attached, cut the hair at the back of the head.
Step 3 – Side of the Head
With the 3mm or 6mm guide comb attached, trim sideburns. Then change to the longer 9mm or 12mm guide comb and continue to cut up to the top of the head.
Step 4 - Top of the Head
- With the 16mm or 18mm guide comb attached, cut hair on top of the head against the direction in which the hair normally grows.
- For longer hair on top, use without a guide comb. Lift the hair on top of the head with a small hand comb. Cut over the hand comb with the hair lifted or hold the hair between the fingers to lift it and cut it to the desired length.
• Always work from the back of the head.
Step 5 – The Finishing Touches
- Use the clipper without an attachment comb for close trimming around the base and sides of the neck. Use the ear comb guides to get a clean line around each ear. For the required ear comb guide, angle the clipper and lightly stroke around each ear to the back of the neck.
- To produce a clean straight line at the sideburns, reverse the hair clipper.
- Place the reversed clipper at right angles to the head, tips of the blades lightly touching the skin and then work downwards.
Taper Lever
The taper lever adjusts the length of cut when not using comb attachments. It is suggested to set the blades closest together when using the comb attachments. Half grade sizes can be achieved by using the taper lever with comb attachments.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Your clipper is fitted with high quality blades.
- To ensure long lasting performance of your clipper, clean the blades and unit regularly.
After Each Use
- Ensure the clipper is switched off and unplugged from the mains before cleaning.
- Brush the accumulated hair from the blades and body of the clipper. Do not submerge the clipper in water.
• To clean unit, wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
- Place a few drops of cutter or sewing machine oil onto the blades. Wipe off excess oil.
Every Six Months
- At regular intervals the blade set should be removed and cleaned.
- The blade set can be removed and reinstalled by using a screwdriver.
- Brush out hair and do not use water or cleaners on the blade set or internal body housing.
CAUTION: Do not use liquid cleaners on the blades or harsh or corrosive chemicals on the blade casing.
• Always use a soft brush to remove the accumulated hairs.
• Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area.
- Do not wrap the supply cord around the appliance.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the appliance and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully for long life, and avoid jerking, twisting or straining especially at plug connections.
