INSTALLING BATTERIES

1 Open the battery cover on the rear of the Sensor.
2 Insert 4 AA batteries (not included). The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for optimal performance. Be sure to install batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -) shown inside the battery compartment.

3 Snap the battery cover back into place.

MOUNTING THE GARAGE PARKING SENSOR

You can use either screws to hang the Garage Parking Sensor (through the keyhole slots on the rear), or double-sided adhesive pads to stick the Garage Parking Sensor on the wall surface.

Note: If you are mounting to brick or concrete wall using screws, it's recommended to also use appropriate wall plugs.

Placement Tip: While the exact location for mounting the Sensor will vary across all vehicles, it's ideally installed at the same level as the car bumper, along the wall facing the center of the parking space.

SETTING THE STOPPING DISTANCE

The Garage Parking Sensor has 3 selectable stopping distances - 1,2 and 3 feet. To set the stopping distance, slide the switch on the rear of the Sensor to the desired stopping distance.

Settings 1 ft 2 ft 3 ft Timeout
Detection zone2-5 ft 3-5 ft 4-5 ft20 seconds
Slowdown zone1-2 ft 2-3 ft 3-4 ft10 seconds
Stop zone1 ft 2ft 3 ft 15seconds

Note: Measurements shown above are approximate. Actual stopping distances may vary due to environmental factors (wind, air temperature, etc). As such, it's important to check your response time and leave sufficient clearance to avoid any collision. When parking for the first time, find out the ideal stopping distance for your vehicle and adjust the stopping distance setting or mounting location, if necessary.

TESTING THE GARAGE PARKING SENSOR

Drive your car slowly into the garage. As your car approaches the Sensor, the Display Light illuminates green, then yellow and finally red when you should completely stop your car.

Important: The Garage Parking Sensor is designed to aid in slow-speed parking only. Always follow safe driving procedures when parking your car.
