What power supply does the EM500NHP1 require?

How do I install the camera?

First, secure the mounting bracket to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws. Then attach the camera to the bracket with the power/video connector facing downward for correct orientation. Finally, connect the power/video cable and run the video output to a monitor or DVR.

What is the video output type?

The camera outputs a standard BNC 1.0Vp-p composite video signal at 75 ohms. Use a BNC cable to connect to a monitor or recording device.

Can I mount the camera on a wall or ceiling?

Yes. If the image appears horizontal, you may need to remove the camera module and rotate it 90° before reattaching it to the bracket. Refer to the installation section in the manual.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Do not install the camera near electric or magnetic fields.

Install the camera away from TV, radio transmitter, magnet, electric motor, transformer, audio speakers since the magnetic fields generate from above devices will distort the video images.

1. Never disassemble the camera nor put impurities in it.

Disassembly or impurities may result in trouble or fire.

1. Never face the camera toward the sun.

Direct sunlight or severe ray may cause fatal damage to sensor and internal circuit.

1. Keep the power cord away from water and liquid.

Touching the wet power cord may result in electric shock.

1. Never install the camera in areas exposed to water, oil or gas.

Water, oil or gas may result in failure, electric shock or fire.

1. Cleaning

Do not touch the surface of sensor by hand directly. Use a soft cloth to remove the dirt from the camera body. Use lens tissue or a cotton swab and ethanol to clean the sensor and the camera lens.

7. Do not operate the camera beyond the specified temperature, humidity or power source ratings.

Use the camera at temperatures within 0^ 40^ C ( 32^ to 104^ F) and humidity between 20%\~80%. The input power source is 12VDC/24VAC.

1. Secure camera mounting bracket to mounting surface.

b. Fix the bracket to the mounting service with included screws. see figure 1-1.

2. Fix camera to mounting Bracket.

a. PositFigurhe 2almFigurady-2o be mounted on bracket so that the power/video connector is on the bottom to ensure that the camera is facing right side up. See arrow in figure 2.1 pointing at the power/video connector on bottom.

b. Secure camera on bracket with the fixing screws included.

a. Connect pigtail (male power adapter) to the camera female power connector. See Figure 3-1.

c. Connect video cable to a BNC female cable run. See figure A4-3.

Troubleshooting

No power

Check to be certain that you have sufficient current or amperage from the power supply.

Amount of current needed depends on voltage. See this manuals spec. sheet for information on power consumption.

Picture output is horizontal.

Depending on camera will be installed on wall or on ceiling, you may have to remove camera module and rotate it so can install for wall or ceiling. See Installation A step 2 for explanation and steps.
