What is the Alpine KTX-H10?
The Alpine KTX-H10 is a 10-inch subwoofer enclosure designed to be used singly or linked with a second enclosure using the included linking kit.
Can I use the KTX-H10 alone without linking?
Yes, the KTX-H10 can be used as a standalone subwoofer enclosure. The linking kit is only required when combining two enclosures.
What impedance does the KTX-H10 have?
Each KTX-H10 enclosure is wired to a 2 Ohm load. When linking two enclosures in parallel, the combined impedance becomes 1 Ohm.
What amplifier specifications do I need for two linked KTX-H10 enclosures?
Your amplifier must be 1 Ohm stable to handle the parallel wiring of two 2 Ohm enclosures.
What tools are required to install the linking kit?
The included hex key wrench is required. A power drill with a low torque setting is optional but recommended.
Can I use an impact driver for installation?
No, do not use an impact driver. Over-tightening can damage the enclosure and void the warranty.
How do I attach the linking kit?
First, hand-tighten the center alignment dowels into each enclosure. Slide the enclosures together, then attach the rear link plate with the M5x14 screws. Finally, install the front port link with the M5x25 screws.
Can I install a grille on the KTX-H10?
Yes, the KTX-H10 is compatible with the KTE-10G grille kit. Use the pre-installed 40mm machine screws, not the wood screws included with the grille.
What should I avoid during installation?
Avoid over-tightening screws, using impact drivers, installing in areas with water or dust, and drilling into vehicle pipes, fuel tank, or wiring.
Where can I get help if I have issues?
