How do I dock the tablet?

First, ensure the tablet is powered off. Align the tablet's alignment sockets with the docking station's alignment posts, lower the tablet into the bottom of the dock, then pivot it forward until the handle snaps into the latch mechanism. Finally, you can lock it with the supplied key.

How do I undock the tablet?

Unlock the docking station if locked. Hold the tablet with one hand, push down on the latch mechanism with your thumb, then carefully rock the top of the tablet forward and lift it out.

Can I use any power supply with this docking station?

No. You must use a certified, automotive-grade, Getac-approved 95W power supply rated for a continuous, regulated 19VDC output (such as Havis part number LPS-116). Using an improper power supply can cause permanent damage not covered by warranty.

Can I dock or undock the tablet while it is on?

No. Always power off the tablet before docking or undocking. Docking or undocking while the tablet is in On, Standby, Hibernation, or Sleep modes can cause permanent damage.

What is the operating temperature range?

The docking station can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F) and can be stored from -40°C to 71°C (-40°F to 160°F).

Does the docking station charge the tablet's battery?

Yes, when the tablet is docked and powered by the correct power supply, the battery will charge. However, charging only occurs when the ambient temperature is between 0°C and 50°C (32°F to 122°F).

What should I do if the docking station malfunctions?

Immediately unplug the power supply and remove the tablet. Contact Havis support at 1-800-524-9900 or visit www.havis.com for assistance.

Can I install the docking station in a vehicle?

Yes, but never mount it in an airbag deployment zone. Also, do not use the computer while driving. Ensure the power supply is properly rated for automotive use.

Tablet InterfaceAntenna Connectors (SMA

1) Install the Docking Station to the Motion Device using four (4) M4 x 0.7 x 25mm long Pan Head Screws (Hardware Kit Item 3), four (4) Split Lock Washers, M4 (Hardware Kit Item 4), and four (4) Washers, M4 (Hardware Kit Item 5). Torque screws to 20 in-lbs (2.3Nm) ± 10%.

1) Tip the Docking Station to a position that is comfortable to work with.
2) Install all cables that are necessary for computing needs.
3) Use Zip Ties (Hardware Kit Item 1) and the Strain Relief Points on the bottom of the Docking Station to secure cables and reduce risk of accidental disconnects.

4) Create a service loop with cables to ensure that no tension is on the connectors and to enable intended motion.
5) Tie off cables onto a stationary part of the mounting system.

CAUTION

DO NOT FORCE TABLET ONTO DOCKING STATION. IF THERE IS RESISTANCE, CHECK ALIGNMENT OF TABLET ON DOCKING STATION.

NOTE: Ensure a proper connection by aligning the tablet's Alignment Sockets with the Docking Station's Alignment Posts

1) Hold computer with bottom angled toward Docking Station. Lower computer into the bottom of the Docking Station.

2) While keeping downward pressure on the computer, pivot it into Docking Station so the handle snaps into Latch Mechanism.

3) For theft deterrence, secure computer by locking Docking Station with supplied key (Hardware Kit Item 2).

Operation - Undocking

1) If previously locked, unlock Docking Station using supplied key.
