Phenomenon	Causes	Troubleshooting
Power off before the water is boiling.	Too much scale. Eliminate the scale .
Electric kettle can't operate.	Power plug hasn't been inserted tightly.	Check whether the power plug is connected well.
	Temperature limiter inside the electric kettle hasn't reset; dry-burning protection device breaks off due to dry-burning.	After disconnecting power, add some cold water in kettle. Wait for a while and then reuse the kettle.
	Power cord is damaged.	Replace or repair it at Gree appointed maintenance center.
There's off-flavor in water .	This phenomenon is always existing when using the kettle for the first time .	Resolve it by referring to the method in "operation method".
There's scale in kettle or the water is not clean.	The local water quality is hard.	Eliminate the water scale in time.

Operation Method

1. Special notice before operation
   1) Before operation, please read this instruction manual carefully, especially for the "safety notice".
   2) When using the electric kettle for the first time, please clean up the packing materials and other sundries outside or inside the kettle.
   3) Before putting through the power, please check whether the voltage you used is the same as the voltage shown on the nameplate.
   4) When using the electric kettle for the first time or reusing the electric kettle when it hasn't been used for a long time, please fill the electric kettle with water to the max water level and boil the water once or twice, and then pour out the water to clean the electric kettle. Do not drink the water for cleaning.
2. Operation procedure
   1) Take the kettle from base, open the cover, fill the kettle with appropriate quantity of water and then close the cover.
   2) Put the kettle on the base and then insert the power plug.
   3) Pull the switch downward to get through the power. After that, the indicator is on immediately and the electric kettle will start boiling water.
   4) Few minutes later, the water is boiling and the kettle will be power off automatically.
   5) After operation, pull out the power plug.
   6) Take up the body from the base and then you can pour the water for drinking.

Clean and Maintenance

1. Before cleaning the electric kettle, please make sure that the power plug is pulled out and cool down the kettle.
2. The dirt on the surface of electric kettle can be wiped off by wet cloth. Prohibit soaking the electric kettle into water or cleaning agent, or putting it into the dish washer for cleaning.
3. During cleaning period, please keep the circuit dry.
4. During cleaning period, prevent the sharp objects to contact or scratch the surface of electric kettle. Do not use abrasive cleaner, clean cream and other cleanser to clean the kettle to avoid affecting its appearance.
   5.Scale-removing

Method a: Pour 0.5L table vinegar into electric kettle to soak it for 1h, pour out the vinegar and then use clear water to clean it for 4-5 times.

Method b: Inject 25g citrate acid into 0.5L table vinegar and then pour them into kettle to boil and soak it for 30min; Pour out that liquid and clean the kettle with clear water for 4-5 times.
