1. Intended use
This water kettle is only to be used for boiling fresh water. It may not be used for heating any other liquids or foodstuff.
Obeying the instructions within this manual is essential for safe installation and use. This appliance is for private household use only. Do not use outdoors. Other applications are not allowed.

3. Safety instructions
- When using your kettle, basic safety precautions should always be followe, including the followings:
- Read all instruction carefully and thoroughly, before any operation of the kettle.
- The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- The appliance can be use by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Before connecting the kettle, check whether the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside of kettle and base unit) corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and not use the kettle.
- Switch off and unplug from the outlet before filling, emptying or cleaning, or when not in use.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be spill out. Fill with cold water only.
- Do not operate or place any part of this appliance on or near hot surfaces (such as gas or electric burner or in a heated oven).
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or a counter. Do not let the cord touch hot surface.

Never yank on the cord as this may damage the cord and eventually cause a risk of electric shock.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Avoid touching the surface of the hot kettle, use the handle and knobs.
- To avoid possible steam damage, not face the spout when operating the kettle.
- If operated on wood furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.
- To avoid scalding, always ensure the lid is correctly positioned before operation.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed while heating.
- Carefully open the lid when it is hot.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving the kettle containing hot water. Never lift the kettle by its lid. Always use the body handle.
- Do not switch your kettle on if it is empty.
- To protect from electrical hazard, do not immerse the kettle, power base or cord set in any liquid.
- The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
- To protect against fire, do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- The appliance must not be immersed in water.
- This product is not designed for any other uses other than those specified in this booklet.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household only.
- Save these instructions for further reference.
- Never let the kettle operate while unattended.
- Switch off the power supply and disconnect from mains supply when not in use, before cleaning or other maintenance.
- Never touch the hot parts of the appliance.
- Steam will cause burn. Be careful when opening the lid with hot water.
- Always turn off and unplug the kettle when it is not in use.
- Avoid using an extension cord, extension cord may cause risk of fire because of overheat.
4. Before first use
Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to maximum capacity and boil. Discard the water and repeat the process.
5. Operation
- The kettle should always be unplugged when filling or adding water.
- Fill the kettle with water to desired level. Do not overfill or there will be a risk of spillage or spitting. The water level indicator will assist you to measure the correct amount. You can fill the kettle via the spout or after opening the lid. Do not forget to close the lid after filling; otherwise the kettle will not automatically switch off after use.
- Do not fill with less than 0.5 litres of water (to "min" indication) to prevent the kettle running dry while operating.
- Do not fill with more than 1.7 litres of water (to "max" indication).

An automatic safety cut-out has been fitted for protection against overheating; it will operate if the kettle is switched on when containing insufficient water. Always ensure the water inside the kettle covers the minimum mark on the water level indicator gauge. If the automatic safety cut-out has operated, switch the kettle off, disconnect from the power outlet and allow the kettle to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. The refill with and switch on, the kettle will work as normal.

Place the power base on a dry, flat surface. Place the kettle on the power base. The electrical connection will be made automatically as the kettle slides onto the power base.
- Plug the cord set into an earthed power socket and switch on by pressing the on/off switch of the kettle to the "on" position.
- When the water has boiled, the kettle will switch off automatically, after allowing the kettle to cool down for 15-20 seconds, the water can be brought back to the boil by pushing the switch back to the "on" position. During the cooling down time do not force the on/off switch into the "on" position as this can damage the operating mechanism.
- Do not remove the kettle from the power base without switching off first.
- Remember, if you do not wish to re-boil the kettle, switch it off.
- The kettle may be switched off manually at any time by setting the on/off switch into the "off" position.
6. Cleaning and care
Proper and regular care will not only ensure safe use but also elongate the lifetime of this appliance.

Warning! Switch of the appliance and disconnect from power supply before you carry out cleaning and maintenance work to avoid electrical hazard.
- Let the product cool down.
- Wipe dust off with a soft dry cloth or soft brush.
- To clean other debris you may use a slightly wet cloth and neutral detergent.
- Never immerse electric parts of the appliance in water or other liquids and do not clean the appliance in the dishwasher.
Note! Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive detergents or disinfector to clean this appliance as these might be harmful to its surface.
6.1 Descaling
From time to time, depended on the nature of your water supply, a boiled scale deposit is naturally formed and can be found mostly adhered to the heating element, thus reducing the heating efficiency.
The amount of boiled scale deposited (and subsequently the need to clean or rescale) largely depends on the water hardness in your area the frequency with which the kettle is used. Boiled scale is not harmful to your health. But if poured into your beverage, it can give a powdery taste to your drink. Therefore, the kettle should be descaled periodically as indicated below.
Descale kettle regularly. With normal use: at least twice a year
- Fill the kettle up to "max" with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water. Switch on and wait for the appliance to switch off automatically.
- Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
- Discard the mixture the next morning.
- Fill the kettle with clean water up to "max" mark and boil again.
- Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
7. Repair and maintenance
This appliance does not contain any user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Always bring it to qualified technician.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
8. Storage and transportation
- Clean the appliance as described and let it dry completely. We recommend storing the appliance in its original package.
- Always store the appliance in a dry-well ventilated place out of reach of children.
- Always carry the appliance on its handle/s and/or grips.
- Protect the appliance against vibration and shocks when transporting.

To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
