1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance's. If this is not the case please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

2.2. Product Usage

First use

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, and then dry it thoroughly.

Important!: Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.

Electrical connection

Before plugging your appliance to the mains, please ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate correspond to your domestic power supply. Since the appliance must be earthed, the power supply cable plug is provided with a contact for this purpose. If the domestic power supply socket is not earthed, connect the appliance to a separate earth in compliance with current regulations, consulting a qualified electrician.

The manufacturer declines all responsibility if the above safety precautions are not observed.

Reversing the door

Before reversing the door, please prepare below tools and materials: straight screwdriver, cross screwdriver, spanner and the components included in the poly bag:

1) Close the upper door, take out the screw from the top hinge covers with a cross screwdriver.

Take the hinge cover o , disconnect the terminal, then unscrew the top hinge and take the upper door o .

2) Please take o the plastic cover and wire sleeve with a straight screwdriver. Please be careful with the inner part of the wire. Then move the wire with a connector to the other side and install the wire sleeve there. Place and x the cover back again.

3) Unscrew the middle hinge with a cross screwdriver, then take off the lower door.

4) Lay the refrigerator down, take out the adjustable feet as shown below, then unscrew the lower hinge with a cross screwdriver.

5) Unscrew and remove the bottom hinge pin, turn the bracket over and replace it.

6) Refit the bracket and the bottom hinge pin. Replace both adjustable feet. Then transfer the lower door to its proper position.

7) Unscrew the right middle stopper with a metal block from the upper door's bottom. Then install both left middle stopper and metal block on the left side of the upper door. (Perform the same operation for the lower door).

8) Rotate the middle hinge 180^ , then transfer it to the left proper position. Place the middle hinge pin in the upper hole of the lower door, then tight the screws.

9) Install the upper door, fix the upper door hinge onto the cabinet and connect the wire.

10) Take a left hinge cover from the accessories bag and install it on the top hinge. Then install the hole cover on the right side.

Space requirement

  • Select a location without direct exposure to sunlight, with enough space for the refrigerator doors to open easily and with a levelled (or nearly levelled) flooring;
  • Allow sufficient space to install the refrigerator on a flat surface;
  • Allow clearance to the right, left, back and top when installing. This will help reduce power consumption and keep your energy bills lower.

Levelling the unit

To do this you need to adjust the two levelling feet at the front of the unit.

If the unit is not levelled, the doors and magnetic seal alignments will not be covered properly.

Positioning

Install this appliance at a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class specified on the appliance's rating plate:

This appliance should be installed away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight, etc. Please ensure that air can circulate freely around the back of the appliance. To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum distance between the top of the appliance and the wall unit must be at least 100 mm. Ideally, however, the appliance should not be positioned below overhanging wall units. Accurate levelling is ensured by one or more adjustable feet at the base of the appliance.

WARNING!: It should be possible to disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply, and so the plug must be easily accessible after installation.

Operating condition

  • The control panel is 100 % lit up for 3 seconds, which operates exactly as per the setting (mode and temperature) before switching off. The system will be automatically locked for 2 seconds after the last key operation. Once locked, the panel will automatically switch off after 60 seconds counting from the last key operation.
  • Both preset temperatures of the fridge compartment will be shown on the display.

Display

  • The panel will light up once the door of the fridge compartment or freezer compartment is opened (one door signal detected at a time).
  • The panel will be on if there is any key operation, otherwise the light will go out 1 minute after the last operation. The display is shown during normal operation.

Keys

Temperature Control of the Fridge Compartment

This key is workable both in User Defined Mode as well as Super Mode. After entering the temperature control of the fridge compartment, this key flashes. By repeatedly touching the key, the temperature would change in a loop between 2°C, 3°C, 4°C, 6°C, 8°C, after which a 5-second flashing would mean the temperature selection is settled.

Temperature Control of the Freezer Compartment

- Plug your appliance to the mains socket. The internal temperature is controlled by a sensor and there are 3 settings COLD, COLDER, and COLDEST. COLD is the warmest setting and COLDEST is the coldest.

- The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is in a particularly hot room or if you open the door often.

Power cool / Locking / Unlocking

- Power Cool: Touch this key to Enter / Exit the Power Cool Mode when the unit is under "Unlocking" status.

When you enter it, the indicator ✦ will light up and automatically go out after in 3 hours if there is no operation.

- Long Press to Enter / Exit Locking Mode

- Unlocking: Press for 3 seconds when the unit is under locking mode; all the keys will be unlocked after the beep.

- Locking: Press for 3 seconds when the unit is under unlocking mode; all the keys will be unlocked after the beep.

Short beep after each button press. All buttons will only be valid under unlock mode.

Lock function

If there is no operation in 60 sec. the display will automatically lock.

Freezing fresh food

  • The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for a long time.
  • Place the fresh food to be frozen in the freezer compartment.
  • The maximum amount of food that can be frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rating plate.
  • The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this period do not add other food to be frozen.

Storing frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out of use, before putting the product in the compartment let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings.

Important!: In the event of accidental defrosting, for example the power has been off for longer than the value shown in the technical characteristics chart under “rising time”, the defrosted food must be quickly consumed or immediately cooked and then re-frozen (after being cooked).

Thawing

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to be used, can be thawed in the fridge compartment or at room temperature, depending on the time available for this operation.

Small pieces may even be cooked while still frozen, directly from the freezer. In this case, the cooking process will take longer.

The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired.

Positioning the door balconies

To permit storage of food packages of various sizes, the door balconies can be placed at different heights. To make these adjustments proceed as follows: gradually pull the balcony in the direction of the arrows until it comes free, then reposition as required.

Helpful hints and tips

To help you make the most of the freezing process, here are some important hints:

  • The maximum quantity of food that can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate;
  • The freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period;
  • Only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned foodstuffs;
  • Prepare food in small portions so these can be rapidly and completely frozen and to allow to subsequently thaw only the quantity required;
  • Wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight;
  • Do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food that is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter;

- Lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; also remember that salt reduces food's storage life;

- Ice cubes, if consumed immediately after removing them from the freezer compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt;

- It is advisable to show the freezing date on each individual pack to enable a fast removal from the freezer compartment;

Hints for storing frozen food

To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should:

- Make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer;

- Be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the food store to the freezer in the shortest possible time;

- Not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than strictly necessary.

- Not re-frost food; once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be re-frozen;

- Not exceed the storage period specified by the food manufacturer.

Hints for fresh food refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

- Do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator;

- Do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour;

- Make/pre-prepared doughs (all types): wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelves above the vegetable drawer;

- For safety purposes, store like this only for one or two days at the most;

- Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc.: these should be covered and may be placed on any shelf;

- Fruit and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the special drawer(s) provided;

- Butter and cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or wrapped in aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as possible;

- Milk bottle: these should have a cap and should be stored in the balconies on the door;

- Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the fridge.

2.3. Maintenance

Installation

Important!: For electrical connection, please carefully follow the instructions given in specific paragraphs.

- Unpack the appliance and check if there are any damages on it. Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged and report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it, retaining all packing materials;

- It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor;

- Please allow proper air circulation around the appliance, otherwise there is a risk of overheating. To achieve sufficient ventilation, please follow the relevant instructions to installation;

- Wherever possible the spacers of the product should be against a wall to avoid touching or catching warm parts (compressor, condenser) to prevent possible burns;

- The appliance must not be located close to radiators or cookers;

- Please make sure that the power plug is accessible after installing the appliance.

Service

- Any electrical work required to repair or maintain the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person;

- This product should be serviced by an authorized Service Centre, and only genuine spare parts should be used.

Energy saving

- Do not put hot food inside the appliance;

- Do not pack food close together as this prevents air circulating;

• Make sure food does not touch the back of the compartment(s);

- If electricity goes off, do not open the door(s);

- Do not open the door(s) frequently;

- Do not keep the door(s) open for too long;

- Do not set the thermostat on exceeding cold temperatures;

Care and cleaning

  • Before performing any maintenance to your appliance, switch it off and disconnect the power plug from the mains socket;
  • Do not clean the appliance with metal objects;
  • Use a plastic scraper ^2 to remove frost from the appliance, instead of using any sharp objects;
  • Regularly examine the drain in the refrigerator for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain, because if it is blocked, water will collect at the bottom of the appliance. ^3

For hygienic reasons the appliance's interior, including interior accessories, should be regularly cleaned.

Caution!: The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning, since there is a danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning, switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse. Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner because moisture could accumulate in electrical components and pose a danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours can lead to the damage of plastic parts. Therefore, the appliance should be dried before it is placed back into service.

Important!: Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice or the juice from orange peel, butyric acid, any cleanser that contains acetic acid.

  • Do not allow such substances to come into contact with the appliance's parts;
  • Do not use any abrasive cleaners;
  • Remove the food from the freezer. Store it in a cool place, well covered;
  • Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch the circuit breaker off or turn the fuse out;
  • Clean the appliance and its internal accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry;
    • After everything is dry place the appliance back into service.

The appliance is manufactured using recyclable materials after disassembled by a specialized company. Please comply with local regulations concerning the recycling of all materials.
