Frequently Asked Questions - NF-900 Naxa

The frame does not power on. What should I check?

Ensure the AC adapter is firmly plugged into both the frame and a working 100-240V AC outlet. Press the Power button on the back of the frame. If it still doesn't turn on, try a different outlet or contact support.

Why is my memory card or USB drive not recognized?

Make sure the card or USB stick contains supported JPEG photo files. Empty devices will not be read. For cards, ensure they are SD, SDHC, or MMC up to 32GB. Insert the card fully into the slot.

How do I start a slideshow?

After inserting a card or USB, a slideshow will start automatically. To manually start from the main menu, select Photo mode, choose a photo by pressing the arrow keys, then press the ▶II (Play/Pause) button to begin the slideshow.

Can I adjust the slideshow transition effects?

Yes. From the main menu, go to Setup, then choose Slide Mode. You can select single, three-window, or four-window display. Use the arrow keys to highlight your choice and press ▶ to confirm.

How do I copy photos to the frame's internal memory?

In Photo mode, pause the slideshow by pressing ▶II. Use the arrow keys to select a photo, then press and hold ▶ to view the operation menu. Choose Save Picture and press ▶II to confirm. Note: internal memory holds about 3 photos.

How do I delete a photo from internal memory?

In Photo preview mode, use the arrow keys to highlight the photo you want to delete. Press and hold the □ (Exit) button to access the delete menu. Select Delete File and press ▶II to confirm.

The screen is too bright or too dark. How can I adjust it?

Go to the Setup menu from the main screen. Use the arrow keys to highlight Brightness or Contrast options. Adjust the setting using the left/right arrows and press ▶ to confirm.

Why are the colors off or missing?

This may be due to incorrect color settings. In the Setup menu, adjust the Color and Contrast options. Also ensure the file is a compatible JPEG format.

How do I clean the screen safely?

Turn off the frame and unplug it. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth (like a camera lens cloth) to gently wipe the screen. If needed, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.

What file formats are supported?

The frame supports JPEG photo files only. Ensure your images are saved in JPEG format for proper playback.

Getting Started

1. Extend the digital photo frame bracket on the back of the frame to the widest position for greatest stability.
2. Plug one end of the included AC adapter into a standard 100-240V AC electrical outlet and the other end into the right side the frame.
3. Remove the protective film covering on the screen.
4. Turn the unit on by pressing the Power button on the backside of the frame.

After turning on the frame, it will show the startup screen, and then the Main Menu after 3 to 5 seconds.

The adapter supports AC 100-240V power only.

Do not connect the power adapter to a power outlet other than that which is indicated here or on the label as this may result in the risk of fire or electric shock.

Do not handle the power plug with wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock. Do not use the adapter with any other power source.

Operating Instructions

Main Menu

You will see the Main menu screen when you turn on the frame. Use the arrow keys [^, ∨]to choose a memory source and then press▶to access it.

Card and USB

The frame supports SD/SDHC/MMC cards and USB memory sticks. After inserting a card or USB stick that contains photo files, a slideshow will start automatically. Press twice to return to the Main Menu interface where you may access the Photo, File, Calendar, and Setup modes.

Make sure there are supported photo files stored on the Card or USB device.

Photo Mode

From the Main Menu, highlight the Photo option and then press ▶The frame will display small preview photos; use the arrow keys [A, V] to choose a photo and then press ▶II to view it in full screen mode.

Press▶In full screen mode to start the slideshow.

Note: To change the slideshow options, hold ⊃to go to SETUP mode, and then choose SLIDE MODE (single-, three-, or four-windows). Press ∧ or ↗ to select a mode, and then press ► no confirm.

Copy & Delete Function

To copy photos to built-in memory:

In Photo mode, press ▶Ito pause the slideshow. Use to select a photo, then press and hold ▶to view the operation menu. Select "Save Picture" and then press ▶no confirm.

"Memory Full" will be displayed on the screen if there is not enough space to store the photo. The built-in memory has room for approximately 3 photos.

To delete pictures from memory:

In Preview mode, use the arrow keys [A, V, ]to select the picture you want to delete, then press and hold □to access the delete menu. Select "Delete File" and then press ▶ll to confirm.

File Browser

Select "File" from the Main menu, then press ▶Ito access the file browser. You can browse all the photos stored on the memory card or on the frame's built-in memory.

To delete a file, use /or to select the file, then press and hold to access the delete menu. Select "Delete File" and then press to confirm.

Calendar

Select "Calendar" from the Main menu and then press▶The calendar is displayed on the right; photos are displayed as a slideshow on the left.

Use the arrow keys [, , >, <] to select a date within the calendar.

Setup

Select "Setup" from the Main menu, then press▶//Use the ∧ or \keys to select an option to adjust. Press ▶d view an option's sub menu if it is available, use the ∧or keys to adjust the option, and then press▶//o confirm.

Troubleshooting

There is no power

- Please check whether the plug is inserted correctly.

Cannot read the CARD or USB

• Please confirm that there are supported JPEG files on the card or USB device.
  • Empty devices cannot be read.

Cannot play the file

- Please confirm that the file format is compatible with the player.

The screen is too bright or too dark

- Please adjust the brightness or contrast options in the Setup menu.

The color is light or there is no color

- Please adjust the color and contrast options in the Setup Menu.

WARNING: Please turn the unit off before inserting or removing a memory card or USB device. Failure to do so may cause damage to the card/USB device and the unit.

CAUTION

• For indoor use only
• To avoid risk of fire or electric shock; do not expose the unit to moisture or condensation.
• To avoid overheating, do not block the ventilation holes on the back of the unit.
• Keep the unit out of direct sunlight.
• Do not disassemble the unit. There is a risk of electric shock and there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Disassembling the unit will void your warranty.

Cleaning the Screen

• Turn the unit off and disconnect it from all power sources before cleaning it.
• Treat the screen carefully. The screen of the Digital Photo Frame is made of glass and can be broken or scratched.
• If fingerprints or dust accumulate on the screen, we recommend using a soft, non-abrasive cloth to clean the LCD screen (e.g., a camera lens cloth).
• If necessary, you may moisten the cleaning cloth with water before cleaning the screen. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
• Moisten the cleaning cloth with the cleaning solution and apply the cloth to the screen.

7. Water and Moisture: Do not use this product near water (e.g., near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in wet basements, or near a swimming pool and the like).
8. Accessories: Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. Use only with carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables recommended by the manufacturer or
   sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer's instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.
9. Ventilation: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. These openings should never be blocked by placing

the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer instructions have been adhered to.

1. Power Sources: This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the rating label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
2. Grounding or Polarization: This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug that has one blade wider than the other. This plug will only fit into the power outlet in one direction. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the direction of the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
3. Power-Cord Protection: Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point which they exit from the product.
4. Protective Attachment Plug: The product may be equipped with an attachment plug with overload protection. This is a safety feature. See the operating instructions for replacement or directions to reset the protective device. If replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service technician has used a replacement plug that has the same overload protection as the original plug as specified by the manufacturer.
5. Outdoor Antenna Grounding: If an outside antenna is connected to the product, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANS/NFPA70 provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and support-

ing structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna-discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode (see figure).

1. Lightning: For added protection for this product, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning or power-line surges.

2. Power Lines: An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them might be fatal.

3. Overloading: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.

4. Object and Liquid Entry: Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

5. Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

6. Damage Requiring Service: Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) when the power-supply or plug is damaged; b) if liquid has been spilled or if objects have fallen into the product; c) if the product has been exposed to rain or water; d) if the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions.
