Frequently Asked Questions - 50DR-5 Karlik

How do I prepare the coaxial cable for installation?
Strip the coaxial cable by cutting the external insulation, over-wrap, and center conductor at the same height. Refer to picture no. 1 in the manual for a visual guide.
How do I insert the cable into the socket?
Unscrew the clamping bolt, insert the cable so that the socket blade enters between the over-wrap and external insulation. Ensure the center conductor is correctly positioned in the input clamp (see picture no. 4).

After inserting the cable, tighten the clamping bolt securely to hold the cable in place. Do not overtighten to avoid damage (picture no. 5).
How do I install the socket into a 60mm box?
Insert the socket into the 60mm installation box and use either the provided spikes or fastening screws depending on the box type to secure it.

Who should perform the installation?
The installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person with experience in electrical and antenna systems.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need a wire stripper for coaxial cable, a screwdriver for the clamping bolt, and possibly a screwdriver or drill for mounting the socket into the box.
Does this socket work with all coaxial cables?
It is designed for standard coaxial antenna cables commonly used for RTV and RTV-SAT signals. Ensure the cable diameter is compatible with the clamping bolt.
How do I attach the frame and cap?
After mounting the socket, place the frame with the cap onto the main body of the outlet socket. It should snap or screw into place depending on the design.
