Your appliance wastested before leaving the factory. Toremove any water left over from testing procedures, the first washing cycles should be carried out without laundry in them machine.

  1. Turnonwatertap.
  2. Pulloutthedetergentdispenseruptotheend stop.
  3. Pourapprox. 1 litre/1 34 ptofwater into chamber II of the detergent dispenser.
  4. Pour ^1/2 measuring beakerofdetergent into dispenserII. Donotuseanyspecialdetergents for delicatesorwoollens (excessivefoam).
  5. Closethedetergentdispenser.
  6. Set the programme selector to 90 °C COTTONS. TheSTART ◆indicatorlightison.
  7. Press the START ◆ button. TheACTIVEindicatorlightison.
    WhentheENDcontrollightcomeson:

The automatic unbalanced load-detections system spinsthewashingseveraltimestoensure even distribution.

    2.Addthepresoakagenttochamberllaccordingto themanufacturer'sspecifications.
  2. Turntheprogrammeselectorto 30 °C COLOUREDS. TheSTART ◇indicatorlightison.
  3. Press the START ◆ button.
  4. Afterapprox. 15 minutes, turn the programme selectortoOFF. Thelaundry is left to lie in the water.
  5. Selectaprogrammeafterthedesiredsoaking period.
    ☐ Noadditionaldetergentrequired,thesoaking solutionisusedforwashing.

Starching

i Thelaundrymustnotbetreatedwithfabric softener.

  1. Loadthelaundry.
  2. Dispensethecorrectamountofstarchforapprox. 15litres /3.3gal.ofwater.Powderedstarchmust firstbedissolvedinwateraccordingtothe manufacturer'sspecifications.

  3. Attachandtightenthepumpcap.

  4. Attachandclosethecoverplate.

To avoid unused detergent from flowing into the drain during then next wash cycle:

  1. Pourapprox. 1 litre/1 ^3/4 ptofwater into chamber II.

  2. Select the DRAIN programme.

This is necessary if very little or now water flows into the washing machine.

  1. Turnoffthewatertap.
  2. Turntheprogrammeselectortoanyprogramme (exceptSPIN ⓈandDRAIN).
  3. Press the START ◆ button, and allow the programmetorunforapprox.40 seconds.
  4. TurntheprogrammeselectortoOFF.

2.Pulloutthestrainerandrinseunderrunningwater.

3.Insertthestrainerandreconnectthehose.

  1. Turnonthewatertapandcheckwhetherwateris stilldischarged.Ifwaterisstilldischarged,check thatthestrainerisattachedproperly.

5.Turnoffthewatertap.

Descalingthe washingmachine

Caution

Descalingagentscontainacidswhichcanattack partsofthewashingmachineanddiscolourthelaun-dry.

Provided that you use the correct amount of detergent, it is not necessary to descale the washing machine.

If, however, descaling the appliance becomes necessary, please follow the instructions provided by the descaling agent manufacturer.

Installationarea

Appliancestabilityisimportantsothatthewashing machinedoesnot"wander"duringthespincycles.

The installation are amust besolidandeven. Softfloor surfaces, such as carpets or surfaces with foambaking, are not suitable.

If the washing machine is to be installed on a wood joist ceiling:

  1. If possible, placethewashing machine in acorner of the room.
  2. Screwawater-resistantwoodenboard(atleast 30 mmthick)tothefloor.
  3. Affix the feet of the washing machine using holding brackets*.
