Caution

Thewashingmachinemusthavebeeninstalledand connectedproperly(refertoPage 37).

Your appliance wastested before leaving the factory. Toremove any water left over from testing procedures, the first washing cycles should be carried out without laundry in them machine.

i Donotloadanylaundry.

1. Turnonwatertap.
2. Pulloutthedetergentdispenseruptotheend stop.
3. Pourapprox. 1 litre/1 34 ptofwater into chamber II of the detergent dispenser.
4. Pour ^1/2 measuring beakerofdetergent into dispenserII. Donotuseanyspecialdetergents for delicatesorwoollens (excessivefoam).
5. Closethedetergentdispenser.
6. Set the programme selector to 90 °C COTTONS. TheSTART ◆indicatorlightison.
7. Press the START ◆ button. TheACTIVEindicatorlightison.
   WhentheENDcontrollightcomeson:
8. TurntheprogrammeselectortoOFF.

Caution

Removingstains

Whereverpossible, remove /pretreatstains whilst they are still fresh.

First, dabsoapywaterontothestain. Donotrub. Subsequently was the item so of clothing using the appropriate programme.

Several washing cycles mays sometimes berequired in ordertoremovestubborn /driedinstains.

Itemsofclothingthathavebeenpretreatedwithsolvent-basedcleaningagents,e.g.stainremoverand drycleaningspirit,representanexplosionhazard onceloadedintothewashingmachine.Therefore, theseitemsmustfirstberinsedthoroughlybyhand.

Caution

Loosedebrisinthewashingmachinedrumcanda-magethelaundry. Beforeloadingthelaundry, check that thereisnodebrisinthedrum.

☐ Use only detergents and cleaning products which are suitable for front loading-washing machines.

–thewaterhardness. Thisinformationcanbeobtainedfromyour localwaterauthority.

-theamountoflaundry.

- the specifications of the detergent manufacturer. Dispensing the correct amount of detergent relieves the strain on the environment and ensures optimum washing results.

Additional functions

Loadadjust

"Loadadjust" matchesthewaterandpower consumptiontoeachprogramme –accordingtothe amountofwashingandtypeoftextiles.Waterand energyconsumptionisthereforereducedwhen washingsmallamountsoflaundry.

Unbalancedloaddetectionsystem

The automatic unbalanced load-detections system spinsthewashingseveraltimestoensure even distribution.

If the washing is very unevenly distributed, it is not spun for reason so safety or the ends speed is reduced.

Inthewoollensprogrammethewashingisspunonly twicetopreventmatting.

Pre-soak

1. Loadlaundryofthesamecolour.
   2.Addthepresoakagenttochamberllaccordingto themanufacturer'sspecifications.
2. Turntheprogrammeselectorto 30 °C COLOUREDS. TheSTART ◇indicatorlightison.
3. Press the START ◆ button.
4. Afterapprox. 15 minutes, turn the programme selectortoOFF. Thelaundry is left to lie in the water.
5. Selectaprogrammeafterthedesiredsoaking period.
   ☐ Noadditionaldetergentrequired,thesoaking solutionisusedforwashing.

Starching

i Thelaundrymustnotbetreatedwithfabric softener.

1. Loadthelaundry.
2. Dispensethecorrectamountofstarchforapprox. 15litres /3.3gal.ofwater.Powderedstarchmust firstbedissolvedinwateraccordingtothe manufacturer'sspecifications.

3.TurntheprogrammeselectortoRINSING.

1. Setthespinspeed(☐isalsopossible)

2. Press the START ◆ button.

Assoonaswaterstartstoenterthemachine:

1. Pulloutthedetergentdispenserslightly.
   7.Addthestarchingsolutiontochamberl.
2. Closethedetergentdispenser.

☐ If the 🎨 option is preselected, the DRAIN programmustsubsequentlybeselected.

Dyeing

Only used yesthatareenvironmentally compatible and suitable for use in washing machines.

Caution

Discolorationofthelaundryinsubsequentwash cyclescannotbecompletelyruledout.

□Alwaysusedyesinaccordancewiththemanufac-turer'sinstructions.

Afterdyeing:

1. Pourapprox. 12 measuring beakerofdetergent intodispenserII.
2. Without anylaundry in the drum, allow the 90 °C COTTONS program met or through.
3. Wipethesealclean.

Decolorizing

Caution

Decolorantsmaycontainsulphurorchlorine. These substancescancausepartsofthewashingmachine tocorrode.Donotdecolorizeitemsoflaundryinthe washingmachine.

CleaningandCare

⚠Riskofelectricshock!

Always disconnect the appliance from themains before cleaning. Never clean the washing machine with a jet of water.

Asrequired:

Intheeventthatrustspotshaveformedduetoleft-overdebris(e.g. coins, paperclips, needles, nails):

□Useachlorine-freecleaningagent.Followthe manufacturer'sinstructions.Neverusesteelwool.

Intheeventthatresidualdetergentsoradditiveshave accumulated:

1. Pulloutthedetergentdispenseruptotheend stop, pressdownthehollowontheinsertand removethedetergentdispensercompletely.

2.Pullouttheinsert.

1. Cleanthedetergentdispenserandinsertunder runningwater.

2. Attachtheinsertandlockintoposition.

3. Insertthedetergentdispenser.

Cleaningthedrain pump

Thisisnecessaryifthewashinglyehasnotbeen completelydrained. Thepumpisblockedbyeither loosedebrisorfluffwhichaccumulatesifffluff-giving fabricsarewashed.

i Upto20litres/4.4gal.Haveasuitablecontainer ready.

1. Unscrewthepumpcapslightly until the washing I yeslowlybeginstorunintothecoverplatecavity.
2. Whenthecoverplatecavityishalffull,tightenthe pumpcapandemptythecoverplatecavity.

i Repeatthelasttwostepsuntilallthewashinglye hasbeendrained.

1. Carefullyremovethepumpcap.

2. Removeanyloosedebris /fluffrominsidethe pumpandcleanthepump. The pumpimpeller mustbeabletorotate. Cleananyresiduallyeorflufffromthethreadofthe pumpcapandpumphousing.

3. Attachandtightenthepumpcap.

4. Attachandclosethecoverplate.

To avoid unused detergent from flowing into the drain during then next wash cycle:

1. Pourapprox. 1 litre/1 ^3/4 ptofwater into chamber II.

2. Select the DRAIN programme.

Cleaningwater inletstrainers

This is necessary if very little or now water flows into the washing machine.

1. Turnoffthewatertap.
2. Turntheprogrammeselectortoanyprogramme (exceptSPIN ⓈandDRAIN).
3. Press the START ◆ button, and allow the programmetorunforapprox.40 seconds.
4. TurntheprogrammeselectortoOFF.

1. Disconnect the hose from the watertap.
2. Rinsethestrainerunderflowingwater.
3. Connect the hose.

3.Insertthestrainerandreconnectthehose.

1. Turnonthewatertapandcheckwhetherwateris stilldischarged.Ifwaterisstilldischarged,check thatthestrainerisattachedproperly.

5.Turnoffthewatertap.
