ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

The KSA-1017 Pole Clamp Accessory is used to provide a means for attaching a desktop or wall mount to a 1-1/2" to 2" pole.

Existing Mount Preparation

NOTE: The existing mount needs to be modified before installing the KSA1017.

1. Remove display (if present) from existing mount following the instructions included with the mount.
2. Loosen button head cap screw securing swing arm to base on existing mount using the 3/16" hex key (F). (See Figure 1)

1. Remove and save button head cap screw, one nylon washer, and two flat washers from swing arm.(See Figure 1)
2. Lift swing arm up and off of pivot pin and set aside for reuse. (See Figure 1)
3. Remove and save large nylon washer and pivot pin, and discard nylock nut from existing mount base. (See Figure 1)

Pole Clamp Installation

1. Insert 5/16" nylock nut (D) crown down into pole clamp front. (See Figure 2)

NOTE: The following steps reuse hardware removed and saved in the Existing Mount Preparation section.

1. Place large nylon washer into seat in pole clamp front (A). (See Figure 2)

2. Slide pivot pin through large nylon washer and down into pole clamp front (A). (See Figure 3)

1. Slide swing arm assembly down onto top of pivot pin.
2. Assemble two flat washers and one nylon washer onto button head cap screw. (See Figure 3)
3. While holding 5/16" nylock nut (D) previously installed into pole clamp front (A), slide button head cap screw with washers through swing arm and down into pole clamp front (A) until contact with 5/16" nylock nut (D) is made.
4. Secure swing arm to pole clamp front (A) by fastening button head cap screw into 5/16" nylock nut (D).

NOTE: It may be necessary to move 5/16" nylock nut (D) slightly in order to allow button head cap screw to properly seat in nut and allow tightening.

1. Place pole mount clamp (A) with swing arm against pole in approximate mounting location. (See Figure 4)
2. Loosely fasten three 1/4-20 x 1-1/4" button head cap screws (C) into pole clamp back (B) and place against pole aligning with pole clamp front (A). (See Figure 4)

IMPORTANT ! : Equally tighten screws (C) against pole clamp front (A) and the pole clamp back (B). (See Figure 5)

1. Secure pole clamp back (B) to pole clamp front (A) and pole by tightening three 1/4-20 x 1-1/4" button head cap screws (C) using 5/32" hex key. (See Figure 5)
2. Reattach display following instructions included with the mount.

Adjustments

The KSA-1017 allows for both vertical and horizontal position adjustment on pole.

1. Loosen single (right) rear button head cap screw (C) on pole clamp back (B). (See Figure 6)
2. Move KSA-1017 to desired position. (See Figure 6)
3. Tighten single (right) rear button head cap screw (C) on pole clamp back (B).

CAUTION: ALWAYS use two people when adjusting KSA-1017 position.
