Frequently Asked Questions - CER30T15 Montpellier

How do I clean the hotplate safely?
Unplug the stove and let it cool completely. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
What cookware is suitable for this stove?
Use flat-bottomed cookware made of stainless steel, cast iron, or enamel. Ensure the pan base is clean and dry to prevent scratching.
Why does the indicator light turn off and on during use?
This is normal. The thermostat cycles the heating element to maintain the set temperature, causing the indicator light to switch on and off.
Can I use this stove with a power strip?
No. Plug the stove directly into a wall outlet rated for at least 10A. Using an extension cord or power strip may cause overheating or fire.
What should I do if the stove does not heat up?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged in and the outlet is working. Ensure the temperature knob is set above 0. If still not heating, contact customer support.
Is the hotplate suitable for commercial use?
No, this stove is designed for household use only. Using it commercially may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
How do I store the stove when not in use?
Allow it to cool, clean it, and wrap the cord loosely around the base. Store in a dry place away from children and pets.
What is the maximum power consumption?
The stove consumes up to 1500 watts at maximum setting. Ensure your electrical circuit can handle this load.
Can I leave the stove unattended while cooking?
Never leave the stove unattended while in use. Always monitor cooking to prevent boil-overs or fire hazards.
How do I replace the power cord if damaged?
Do not attempt replacement yourself. Contact a qualified technician or Montpellier service center. Using a damaged cord is dangerous.

After cooking the letter 'H' is displayed:
