Frequently Asked Questions - KOBLENZ8214-030B Frilec

How to correctly install the washing machine?
Remove all packaging materials and the transit bolts at the rear. Place the machine on a hard, dry, and level surface. Adjust the leveling feet for perfect stability. Connect the water inlet hose to the cold water tap and the drain hose to a suitable drain. Plug the appliance into a grounded outlet in compliance with standards.
What to do if the machine does not start?
Check that the door is properly closed and the lock has engaged. Make sure the power supply is connected and the outlet works. If the problem persists, restart the appliance after unplugging it for 10 seconds. Check the displayed error code (e.g., E30 for door not closed properly).
How to clean the drain pump filter?
Before any intervention, unplug the appliance and close the water tap. Open the lower cover, turn the filter counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the debris and replace it by turning clockwise. Perform this operation every 3 months.
What does error code E10 mean?
The E10 code indicates a water inlet problem. Check that the water tap is open, the pressure is sufficient (0.05-1 MPa), and the inlet hose is not kinked. Also clean the filter of the inlet valve.
Can hot water be used for washing?
No, this appliance is equipped with a single inlet valve and must be connected only to cold water. Water heating is provided by the internal heating element according to the selected programme.
How to activate the child lock?
Press simultaneously the [Temp.] and [Function] buttons for 3 seconds until a beep sounds. The lock icon appears. To deactivate, repeat the same operation.
How much detergent to use?
Dose according to the degree of soiling, water hardness, and load. For an 8 kg load, follow the detergent manufacturer's recommendations. Avoid over-dosing (excessive foam) and under-dosing (grey laundry). Use a detergent suitable for machine washing.
How to maintain the door seal?
After each wash, wipe the seal and the glass to remove lint and residues. Remove any trapped objects (coins, buttons). Clean the seal monthly with clean water to prevent leaks.
What to do in case of abnormal noise during spinning?
First check that the transit bolts have been removed. Ensure the machine is level and stable (adjustable feet). Noise can also be due to an unbalanced load: redistribute the laundry evenly.
How to use the Drum cleaning programme?
Empty the drum of any laundry. Select the Drum cleaning programme (90°C). Optionally add a chlorine bleach for better results. Press Start/Pause. The indicator flashes after 25 cycles to remind you to perform this operation.

Note!

  • Agglomerating or ropy detergent or additive can be diluted in some water before pouring it into the detergent dispenser, to avoid its inlet to get blocked and thus cause a water overflow.
  • Please choose the suitable type of detergent to get a maximum of washing performance and a minimum of water and energy consumption
  • To achieve the best cleaning result a proper detergent dosing is important.
  • Use a reduced detergent amount if the drum is not filled completely.
    · Always adjust the amount of detergent to the water hardness, if your tap water is soft, use less detergent.
  • Dose according to how dirty your laundry is, less dirty clothes require less detergent.
    · Highly concentrated (compact detergent) requires particularly accurate dosing.

Following symptoms are a sign of detergent overdosing:

  • heavy foam formation
  • poor washing and rinsing result

Following symptoms are a sign of detergent underdosing:

-laundry turns grey
- built-up of limescale deposits on the drum, the heating element and/or the laundry

  • 20 °C program is able to clean lightly soiled cotton laundry, at a nominal temperature of 20 °C, which complies with the regulation (EU) 2019/2023.
  • Concerning to EN 60456:2016/pr/2019 With (EU)2019/2014, (EU)2019/2023,

(EU) 2021/340, (EU) No 2021/341

The EU energy efficiency class is: A

Energy test program: ECO 40-60. Other as the default.

Half load for 8.0kg machine:4.0kg.

Quarter load for 8.0kg machine:2.0kg.

1) The highest temperature reached by the laundry in the wash cycle for at least 5 minutes.
2) Residual moisture after the wash cycle in water content percent and the spin speed at which this was achieved.
3) The ECO 40-60 programme is able to clean normally soiled cotton laundry declared to be washable at 40°C or 60°C, together in the same cycle. This programme is used to assess the compliance with the regulation (EU) 2019/2023.

The most efficient programmes in terms of energy consumption are generally those that perform at lower temperatures and longer duration.

Loading the household washer up to the capacity indicated for the respective programmes will contribute to energy and water savings.

Noise and remaining moisture content are influenced by the spinning speed: the higher the spinning speed in the spinning phase, the higher the noise and the lower the remaining moisture content.

① Caution!

- If there is any break in the power supply while the machine is operating, a special memory stores the selected programme. The machine will continue the programme when the power supply is re-established.
