How to properly shut down the computer?

Click the Start button then Shut Down. If normal shutdown fails, press and hold the power button for at least four seconds.

What to do if the screen remains black after turning on the computer?

Press a key on the keyboard to reactivate the display (power saving). If that doesn't work, restart the computer. If the problem persists, contact technical support.

The printer is not working, what to check?

Make sure the printer is powered on and plugged in. Check the connection between the printer and the computer. Refer to the printer documentation for further diagnostics.

No sound from the speakers, how to fix?

Check that the sound is not muted (volume icon in the taskbar). If headphones or external speakers are plugged into the front jack, the internal speakers are disabled. Use the volume button on the keyboard.

How to insert a memory card?

Hold the card with the label facing up and toward the computer. Slide it into the slot until it is installed. To remove, use Windows' Safely Remove Hardware function.

Can I upgrade the RAM?

Yes, the computer supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM (4 slots). Use identical modules (size and speed). Follow the instructions in the manual for installation.

How to connect the computer to the network?

Connect an Ethernet cable to the network port (RJ-45) on the back of the computer, then connect the other end to your modem or router. Configure the network through the operating system.

The optical drive is not reading the disc, what to do?

Check that the disc is inserted correctly (label up). Clean the disc with a soft cloth. Try another disc. If the problem persists, the drive may be defective, contact customer service.

How to share files with other devices?

Use the Acer clear.fi application (if available). Enable sharing in the application and make sure all devices are on the same network. You can stream photos, videos, and music.
