GETTING STARTED
- Before using the blender for the first time, make sure all the packaging has been removed before operating the appliance. Wash all parts except for the motor base (G).
1a. For glass jug model: Ensure that the rubber seal (E) is properly placed on the blade assembly (F). Invert the jug (D) to have its base facing upward. Turn the blade assembly over and insert it into the jug base by aligning its slots with the catches on the jug base. Turn the blade assembly anti-clockwise to lock it securely.
1b. For plastic jug model: Attach the blade assembly (M) to the bottom of the jug (D). Fix it firmly by turning it anti-clockwise.
Caution! The blades are very sharp!
-
Place the motor housing on a flat surface. Ensure the speed selector (H) is set to "OFF" before placing the jug (D) on the motor base (G). Place the jug on the motor base. There are 2 possible positions, handle on the right or on the left. Rotate clockwise until it locks. The blender is designed with a safety locking system. When the arrow on the jug (▼) is aligned with the arrow (▲) on the motor base, the jug is locked in position. The blender will operate only if the jug or the grinder is locked correctly. Put the ingredients in the jug. (Do not exceed the maximum capacity indicated on the jug.)
Processing hot liquids: allow hot liquids to cool down until lukewarm before filling the jug. Fill the jug only half full and start processing on low speed.
For Glass Jug: For best result when processing diluted liquids, the maximum processing volume shall be 1.25L. -
Close the lid and insert the measuring cup (A) in the filler hole and lock into position. Do not operate the blender if the lid is not locked in.
-
Start the blender by turning the speed selector (H) clockwise. Start at low speed, then progress to a higher speed if required. To use the PULSE function, turn the speed selector to PULSE position and release. For heavy load, please remove half of the contents and process them in 2 batches.
-
Ice crushing: Turn the speed selector (H) to PULSE position and hold for 3-5 seconds several times until you obtain a satisfactory result. You can add more ice through the filler hole while the blender is running. The PULSE function allows greater control when blending, e.g. when chopping nuts or chocolates, or crushing ice.
-
To make juice: Insert the filter (K)* as illustrated. Make sure it fits correctly. Add fruits in the filter*, close the lid (B) and process as usual. Caution! Always remove the seed from stone fruits such as plums, peaches, apricots, avocados before processing them in the blender.
USING THE GRINDER\*
The grinder* consists of a grinder bowl (L) and a blade assembly (M). It can be used to chop nuts, dried fruit, bread crumbs, garlic, onions etc.
-
Make sure the unit is unplugged and the speed selector (H) is set to "OFF" before placing the grinder on the motor base (G). Turn the grinder upside down and carefully remove the blade assembly (M) by turning it anti-clockwise. Fill the grinder bowl with the desired ingredients. Do not fill more than half full.
-
Attached the blade assembly (M) to the grinder bowl (L) by turning the blade assembly clockwise. NOTE: If it is not tightly attached together the blender will not work due to a safety mechanism.
-
Turn the grinder the right way up and lock into place on the motor base (G) by turning clockwise. Plug in the appliance and select the desired speed setting. Caution! Do not operate the grinder continuously for more than 30 seconds. For better results, use the PULSE setting.
* Specifications vary by model
- When the ingredients have been ground/chopped to the desired consistency, unplug the appliance, and remove the grinder from the appliance. NOTE: Do not remove the grinder bowl directly from the motor base as this will cause the ingredients to spill out and expose the blade assembly.
- Turn the grinder upside down and carefully remove the blade assembly by turning it anti-clockwise. Remove the ingredients and wash the grinder bowl (L) and blade assembly (M) in soapy water immediately after use.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Quick cleaning: Pour warm water into the jug (D) up to 750ml, add a few drops of detergent. Replace the lid and operate the blender for a few seconds by turning the speed selector (H) to the PULSE position briefly. Finally, remove the jug and rinse it under running water.
- Thorough cleaning: Switch off the blender and unplug the power cord. Remove the jug (D) from the motor base (G).
13a. Cleaning the motor base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or clean it under running water!
13b. Cleaning the jug: Remove the lid (B) and jug (D). Turn the blade assembly (F) clockwise and remove it by pulling it down. Rinse the blade assembly in water and detergent. Caution! Handle carefully, the blades are very sharp!
The lid, jug and measuring cup can be washed in the dishwasher. Be careful when re-assembling the blade assembly. Please see "Getting started" section, no. 1 for instructions on blade assembly.
