How do I set the timer on my Rex FVA50NE oven?

Turn the timer knob clockwise to the desired cooking time (up to 120 minutes). The oven will switch off automatically when the time elapses.

What does the 'defrost' function do?

The defrost function uses the fan to circulate room temperature air, speeding up defrosting of frozen foods without cooking them.

Why is my oven not heating up?

Check that the oven is properly connected to the power supply and that the timer is set. If the problem persists, the heating element may be faulty. Contact Rex support.

How do I clean the oven door glass?

For easy cleaning, the inner door glass can be removed. Refer to the manual. Clean with a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads.

Can I use aluminum foil in the oven?

Avoid covering the oven floor or heating elements with foil as it can damage the enamel. Use foil only on the rack or tray, and keep away from the element.

What is the maximum weight for the oven rack?

The oven rack supports up to 25 kg evenly distributed. Do not overload.

How do I activate the child lock?

Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button for 3 seconds until the lock icon appears. To deactivate, repeat the process.

Why is there smoke coming from the oven?

Food residue on the bottom or heating elements can produce smoke. Remove any spills. If first use, some smoke from protective oil is normal. Preheat empty oven for 30 min.

How do I replace the oven light bulb?

Disconnect power. Remove the glass cover (twist counterclockwise). Replace with a 25W, 300°C resistant bulb (E14). Do not touch bulb with bare hands.

What do the symbols on the control panel mean?

Symbols indicate cooking modes: top/bottom heat, fan forced, grill, defrost, etc. Refer to the user manual for a full description.
