Frequently Asked Questions - BH 1012 AMICA

How do I clean the blender jar?
The jar is detachable and can be rinsed under running water. For thorough cleaning, wash with warm soapy water using a soft sponge or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No, do not blend hot liquids as pressure buildup may cause the lid to pop off and result in burns. Allow liquids to cool to room temperature before blending.
What is the maximum capacity for blending?
The maximum capacity is 1.5 liters, but do not fill beyond the maximum line marked on the jar, especially when blending thick mixtures.
Why does the blender stop suddenly?
The blender may have an overheat protection feature. If it stops, unplug it and let it cool for 15-20 minutes before using again. Also check if the jug is properly locked.
Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, the BH 1012 is designed for ice crushing. Use pulse mode in short bursts to avoid damaging the blades. Do not overfill with ice.
How do I replace the blade assembly?
The blade assembly is replaceable. Unscrew the base of the jar counterclockwise to remove the old assembly. Install the new one and tighten securely. Ensure the seal ring is in place.
Is the blender jar dishwasher safe?
Yes, the glass jar and lid are dishwasher safe (top rack only). The blade assembly should be hand washed to prevent dulling.
What should I do if the blender leaks?
Check if the seal ring is properly seated around the blade assembly. Tighten the jar base firmly. If leaks persist, replace the seal ring.
Can I use the blender to grind dry grains?
No, the BH 1012 is intended for wet blending and crushing ice. Grinding dry ingredients may overload the motor and damage the blades.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as the jar, blade assembly, lid, and seal ring are available from authorized Amica service centers or online retailers.
