Information about the operating instructions
These operating instructions are intended to enable the safe and proper handling and operation of the appliance. Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe place. Include these operating instructions when passing the appliance on to another user.
Liability We will accept no liability for damages resulting from failure
to comply with the operating instructions.
We cannot assume any liability in case the appliance is used for other purposes than its intended use or handled, repaired or serviced improperly.

This appliance fulfills the requirements of the Appliance and Product Safety Law (GPSG) and the EU Directives 2004/108/EC "Electromagnetic Compatibility" and 2006/95/EC "Low-Voltage Directive."
The appliance bears the CE mark on the rating plate.
Intended use
• The appliance is constructed for household use only.
• Always disconnect the blender from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnected from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts which move in use.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use this appliance near water contained in basins like bathtubs, washbasins, etc.
- Do not use any abrasive substance for cleaning the appliance.
- You could clean the surface with a damp cloth.
- Do not abuse the electrical cord. Never disconnect from outlet by pulling the power cord. Always use the body of the plug for disconnecting the appliance.
- Do not bend the power cord. Do not keep the folded power cord.
• Always unplug the appliance after use.

Unauthorized use • The examples of unauthorized use listed here can result in
malfunctions, damage to the appliance or personal injury:
- This appliance is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or by persons lacking in experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by someone who is responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the appliance. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Electric appliances are not toys for children! Therefore, use and store the appliance away from the reach of children. Children do not recognize the danger involved with handling an electric appliance. Do not let the power cord dangle from the appliance.
- Keep packaging films away from children - danger of suffocation!

For yours and others safety please read the instructions before using the appliance. Please keep this instruction in a safe place for the further use. If you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions too.
Important Safeguards
- When use electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
• Always unplug the appliance before assembling, disassembling, cleaning. - Before plugging into a socket, check whether your voltage corresponds to the rating label of the appliance.
- Don't plug the appliance into the power supply until it is fully assembled and always unplug before disassembling the appliance or handle the blade.
- Don't allow children to use the blender without supervision.
- Don't let the motor unit, cord, or plug get wet
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an authorized Fakir Service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- Don't let excess cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop or touch hot surface.

ATTENTION! ELECTRIC CURRENT!
- Incorrect voltage can destroy the appliance. Operate the appliance only if the voltage specified on the rating plate corresponds to the voltage in your household.
- The socket must be protected with a 16 A automatic circuit breaker.
- Use only extension cords designed for the power input of the appliance.

WARNING: DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Never touch the plug with wet hands.
- When unplugging the appliance, always pull directly on the plug and never on the power cord.
- Do not kink, pinch or run over the power cord and do not expose it to heat sources.
- If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's customer service department or a person with similar qualifications to prevent any hazards.
- Do not put the appliance in operation if you detect any visible damage on the housing, if the power cord is defective or if you suspect a defect (e.g. after a fall).
- Do not use any damaged extension cords.

Safety In case of defects

WARNING!
Never operate a defective appliance or an appliance with a defective power cord. There is a danger of electric shock.
Before contacting our service department, check to see if you can eliminate the problem yourself. Refer to the chapter "If at once you don't succeed".
If you were not able to eliminate the problem yourself, please contact our customer service.
Before calling, have the article no. and appliance/model name at hand. This information can be found on the rating plate of the appliance.

WARNING!
Repairs and maintenance may be performed only by trained technicians (e.g. Fakir customer service). Only original Fakir replacement parts may be used. Improperly repaired or serviced appliances may pose a danger to the user.

Device description
1.) Bottom enclosure: Solid construction with stainless steel self-adjusting cover
2.) Hinge release: Locking hinge
3.) Removable cooking/grill plates: Nonstick and washable for easy cleanup
4.) Control knob: Adjust temperature from "min to max"
5.) Drip tray: Collect grease and are dishwasher safe
6.) Handle: Plastic handle
7.) Plate release buttons: Push in to release and remove cooking plates
8.) Locking latch: Lock and unlock the machine and adjusts cover to accommodate thickness of food.
Usage

CAUTION
Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.

NOTICE!
During the initial uses of this product, it may produce some smoke. This is normal and will subside with further use.
- Before using this product for the first time, clean it as described in the "Care and Maintenance" section. Make sure to replace the Drip Tray.
- Press in the end of the Locking Latch nearest the Handle to unlock the product.
- Open the unit by pulling the Handle up.
- You may season the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat.
- Since the appliance has a non-stick coated surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.
- Close the Plates and turn the unit on by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet. Verify that the Power Indicator Light illuminates in orange.

WARNING!
The Cooking Plates and metal surfaces of the unit will become extremely hot when in use. To avoid a burn hazard, wear heat resistant mitts or gloves and touch only the black portion of the Handle.
• After the unit preheats for approximately five minutes, the Ready Indicator Light will illuminate in green, indicating the product is ready for use.
- Use the Handle to lift the Upper Plate. Place food on the Lower Plate using wooden or plastic heat-resistant utensils.

CAUTION
Do not use metal utensils on this product, as they will scratch and damage the Plates' non-stick coating.
- Use the Locking Latch to lower and rest the Upper Plate on top of the food.
Usage

WARNING!
After fixing the locking latch for the high food, to not press on upper plate. As locking mecanizm is fixed, pressing might break the locking latch.

NOTICE!
The cooking time for different foods depends on the type and thickness of the foods.
- Foods should be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
- When the food is cooked as desired, lift the Handle to open the Plates, then remove the food using the utensils. If more cooking will be done at this time, close the Plates to conserve heat.
- Repeat Steps 7-9 until all cooking is complete, reapplying cooking oil as necessary.
- Turn off the product by unplugging the Power Cord from the electrical outlet.
- When the unit has completely cooled, clean and dry it.
- Lock the unit in its closed position by pressing in the end of the Locking Latch farthest from the Handle.
To use as a Grill (flat cooking)
- Insert the plug into a 230V power outlet and switch ON. The red power ON light will illuminate.
- Turn the temperature dial to the desired heat setting.
- Allow the Grill toaster to preheat until the green ready light illuminates.
- Place meat or foods to be cooked on the bottom cooking plate. Refer to guide for cooking times which is on the top cooking plate.
- Close the top cooking plate
- When the selected foods are grilled, open the lid. Remove the food with the help of a plastic spatula.

- Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
• To clean the plates you can let them in the appliance or remove them from the appliance (therefore press on the button 2 near the handle and remove them (see picture). If you let them in the appliance, wipe the plates with a damp cloth or towel. If you remove them from the appliance, you can wash them under running water. Dry them afterwards. Never place the plates into the dishwasher. - Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
- Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

If at once you don't succeed
If the service life of the device has ended, in particular if functional disturbances occur, make the worn-out device unusable by cutting through the power cable.
Dispose of the device according to the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
Electrical waste must not be disposed of together with household waste. Bring the worn-out device to a collection center.
The packaging of the device consists of recycling-capable materials. Place these, sorted out according to material, in the collectors provided, so that recycling can be carried out on them.

Dispose of used dust bag and filters in domestic waste.
