Assembly

Unpack the Grill and other necessary parts from the box.
-
Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics or styrofoam.

Please note the glass lid may be packed upside down in the base. Remove before using.

Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Place base on a heat resistant stable surface in a well-ventilated area.

Place the drip tray onto the base by lining up the indents in each corner of the tray.

- Place the grill on the base by lining up the notch under the grill in the temperature control end of the grill with the base first, then placing the other side into the correct position.
NOTE: There is a safety mechanism in place. The temperature probe will not properly plug in if the grill is not placed onto the base correctly.

- Make sure the temperature control is turned OFF. Insert temperature control into the receptacle in the handle with the power knob facing up. Plug the power supply cord into a wall outlet.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRILL AND/OR THE TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS
General information
When using the Indoor Grill, basic safety precautions should be observed. PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE INDOOR GRILL.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. The Indoor Grill is not intended for use by children.
- For indoor household use only.
- Unplug the Indoor Grill from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, Indoor Grill pan in water or any other liquid.
- Do not operate the Indoor Grill with a damaged cord or plug, or if the Indoor Grill malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the Indoor Grill to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or refund.
- Never move the Indoor Grill by pulling the cord. DO NOT let the electrical cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
- Place the Indoor Grill on a flat, level, stable, heat resistant surface when using.
- Place base on a heat resistant, stable surface in a well-ventilated area.
- NOTE: During first use, the Grill may give off a slight odor. This is due to the newness of the product and will dissipate with use.
- Do not place the Indoor Grill on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- Do not use the Indoor Grill with a damaged outlet.
- Make sure hands are dry when plugging in and unplugging the Indoor Grill.
- Do not use this Indoor Grill for other than intended use.
- This Indoor Grill is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the Indoor Grill by a person responsible for their safety.

Safety instructions
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
POLARIZED PLUG
NOTE: This Indoor Grill has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
- If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
- If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
ELECTRIC POWER
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your Indoor Grill may not operate properly. The Indoor Grill should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

SAFETY WARNING
Although your Indoor Grill is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below must be followed:
- Do not place the grill near a heat source.
- Never leave the grill unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
- Use the grill on a stable work surface away from water.

Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.

The indoor grill must be unplugged:
A. After each use.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

THIS APPLIANCE CAN GET HOT DURING USE. PLEASE USE CAUTION!
How to use the indoor grill
- Adjust the temperature control to the desired temperature. NOTE: The power indicator light is also the temperature indicator for the grill.
- Allow the unit to preheat 7 – 10 minutes. Place food directly on the Grill. Place lid onto grill. Cook food to desired doneness.
- The probe light does turn on and off to help keep the grill at the correct temperature.
- When cooking is finished, turn the temperature control knob to OFF and remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- IMPORTANT: Wait until the Grill has cooled down completely before removing the temperature control, or attempting to clean the unit.
CAUTION
- Hot oil and liquid may splash as grease and juices hit the drip tray. BE CAREFUL WHILE GRILLING!
- DO NOT TOUCH any hot surfaces while cooking. The grill may become extremely hot while cooking and will remain hot while unit is cooling down.
- DO NOT overload the grill surface.
- DO NOT remove the temperature control until the grill is turned OFF, unplugged and completely cooled.
- DO NOT move the grill while in use.
DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Always use handles.
ALWAYS make sure that the unit is set to the OFF position when not in use and when unplugging from power outlet.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BASE UNIT AFTER COOKING AS IT REMAINS HOT!
Cooking tips
- If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
- Use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. Never cut food on the surface.
- Cut food into small and equal pieces to ensure more even cooking.
- Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
- If you grill vegetables, fish or lean meat, spray the grilling surface with a cooking spray. If you are grilling meat with any amount of fat, or if the food has been marinated, there is no need to treat the grill prior to cooking.
- If using a marinade with oil, place grill near an exhaust hood. Oil or fat may produce smoke.

Note: This chart is for your reference only. You may need to adjust cooking time and temperature according to the type, size, thickness of food and your own personal taste preference.
Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the Indoor Grill is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item.
- When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, turn the temperature control to OFF and be sure to unplug from the power outlet first and allow item to cool completely before removing the temperature control.
- Remove the temperature control from the unit. Gently remove the completely cooled grill and drip pan. Clean the inner and outer surface using a soft cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. NEVER IMMERSE THE GRILL OR TEMPERATURE CONTROL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
- Allow the base to cool completely before cleaning. Once cooled, clean the base with a soft cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. The base may be immersed in water. Do not place the base in the dishwasher.
- Remove stubborn stains or cooked on food with plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid.
