Frequently Asked Questions - UC52 BAUMATIC

How do I install the Baumatic UC52 range hood?
Ensure the hood is mounted on a solid wall at least 65 cm above gas hobs or 50 cm above electric hobs. Use the provided template and fixings. Connect the ducting to a 150 mm outlet. Electrical connection must be done by a qualified installer.
How often should I clean the grease filters?
Clean the aluminum grease filters every 2 months or more frequently with heavy use. Wash them by hand with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher at low temperature. Allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
Can the UC52 operate in recirculation mode?
Yes, but you need to purchase a charcoal filter separately. The hood can be used in recirculation mode if ducting is not possible. Follow the installation guide for the carbon filter installation.
What type of light bulbs does the UC52 use?
The hood uses two 40W halogen bulbs with a G9 base. Ensure you replace them with bulbs of the same type and wattage to avoid damage.
Why is my hood noisy?
Noise can be due to loose ducting, unbalanced fan, or debris in the motor. Check all connections and clean the filters. If noise persists, contact Baumatic service.
What is the maximum extraction rate?
The Baumatic UC52 has a maximum extraction rate of 600 m³/h. Use the highest speed for strong cooking odors. Lower speeds are quieter and sufficient for normal use.
How do I reset the filter notification?
Press and hold the light button for 3-5 seconds until the indicator turns off. Refer to the manual for exact procedure as it may vary by model.
Can I install the hood on a sloped ceiling?
The UC52 is designed for flat wall installation. Installing on a slope may require a special bracket. Consult a professional for safe installation.
What should I do if the motor stops working?
Check the power supply and ensure the plug is connected. If the thermal cut-out has tripped, allow the motor to cool down and it will restart. If issue persists, contact service.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as filters, bulbs, and motors can be ordered from Baumatic authorized dealers or their official website. Use the model number UC52 for correct parts.

Also can put the filter into a dishwasher with detergent for cleaning. Set the temperature at around 60^ C.

2) To protect the main body from corrosion over a long period of time, the cooker hood should be cleaned with hot water plus soap or non corrosive detergent once a week. Do not use grinding detergent, or it will damage the body.

3) Keep the motor and other spare parts free from water, as this will cause damage to the appliance.
