Frequently Asked Questions - Classic S577 Quartet

How do I mount the Quartet Classic S577 whiteboard?
Use the included wall-mounting hardware. Ensure the wall can support the weight (15 lbs). Mark stud locations, level the board, and screw the brackets into studs. We recommend two people for installation.
Can I use regular markers on this whiteboard?
Only use dry-erase markers specifically designed for whiteboards. Permanent markers will stain the surface. If accidental use occurs, write over the mark with a dry-erase marker and wipe.
How do I clean the whiteboard?
Use a soft dry cloth or a whiteboard eraser for daily cleaning. For stubborn marks, use a damp cloth with mild soap or a dedicated dry-erase board cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Is the surface magnetic?
Yes, the porcelain enameled steel surface is fully magnetic, allowing you to use magnets to hold papers and notes.
What are the dimensions of the Classic S577?
The board measures 48 inches wide by 36 inches high. The usable writing surface is slightly smaller due to the frame.
Does it come with markers and an eraser?
Yes, the package includes 2 dry-erase markers, an eraser, and a marker tray that attaches to the bottom.
Can I use the board horizontally?
Yes, the Classic S577 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally depending on your preference. The hardware supports both orientations.
How do I remove stubborn stains?
For old or stubborn marks, apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or whiteboard cleaner on a soft cloth and rub gently. Rinse with water and dry.
Is the board suitable for high-traffic areas?
Yes, the porcelain surface is highly durable and resistant to scratches, dents, and ghosting, making it ideal for busy classrooms and offices.
What is the warranty?
Quartet offers a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. The marker tray and accessories may have shorter warranty periods.
