How do I install the batteries in the CaterChef 445010 dispenser?
Slide open the battery cover on the bottom of the dispenser in the direction of the arrow. Install four AA batteries (1.5V each) into the battery box, matching the polarity marks. Close the battery cover securely.
How do I fill the disinfectant liquid?
Remove the rubber cap from the container and pour the disinfectant liquid into the bottle. Make sure the syringe (nozzle assembly) is properly mounted. Do not overfill. Replace the cap and close the hood.
What does the red flashing LED mean?
A red LED flashing every 5 seconds indicates low battery – replace the batteries with new ones. A red LED flashing every 2 seconds means there is an object under the sensor (e.g., your hand) – remove it to stop the alarm.
Can I mount the dispenser on the wall?
Yes, the dispenser can be wall-mounted without the stand. Use the supplied backplate and bolts to attach it securely to the wall. Ensure the area under the dispenser is clear for proper operation.
What type of liquids can I use?
The dispenser is suitable for a variety of disinfectants. Avoid using thick gels or liquids with large particles to prevent clogging. Always follow the liquid manufacturer's guidelines.
How do I clean the dispenser?
Before cleaning, turn off the dispenser and remove batteries or disconnect the adapter. Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent. Never rinse the device under running water as this can cause damage. Dry thoroughly before reuse.
The dispenser does not spray – what could be wrong?
Check that the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Ensure the sensor window is clean and not blocked. Verify the nozzle is not clogged. Also make sure the housing is properly closed, as the ON/OFF switch is only active when the hood is shut.
How do I turn the dispenser on and off?
Use the ON/OFF switch located inside the housing. When the housing is opened, the switch is disconnected and the dispenser will not work. Once the housing is closed, the dispenser becomes operational. The green LED flashes to indicate it is on.
What is the sensing distance?
The infrared sensor detects hands at a distance of 8 cm ± 2 cm. Hold your hand approximately 8–12 cm from the sensor window to activate the spray.
Can I use a DC adapter instead of batteries?
Yes, you can connect a DC adapter (6V, not included) to the DC connector. Do not install batteries when using the adapter. Plug the adapter into a 220V outlet and connect it to the dispenser.
