Frequently Asked Questions - KADCAML101A Kogan

How do I install the dash cam in my car?
Clean the windshield area and attach the suction mount. Press the camera onto the mount and adjust the angle. Connect the supplied car charger to the camera and plug into the 12V socket. Route the cable along the windshield edge to avoid obstruction.
What type of memory card is required?
The dash cam requires a microSD card up to 32 GB Class 10 or higher. Format the card in the camera before first use.
How does loop recording work?
When the memory card is full, the camera automatically overwrites the oldest footage. Protected files (e.g., from G-sensor events) are not overwritten.
How do I playback recorded videos?
You can view videos on the camera's LCD screen by pressing the Play button, or remove the microSD card and insert into a computer to view files.
What is the G-sensor and how does it work?
The G-sensor detects sudden impact or motion. When triggered, it locks the current recording to prevent overwriting. This ensures critical footage (e.g., accidents) is saved.
Does the dash cam have night vision?
Yes, the camera is equipped with infrared LEDs for clear recording in low light conditions.
How do I reset the camera if it freezes?
Use a paperclip or similar object to press the reset button located on the side of the camera. This will restart the device without losing stored footage.
Can I use the dash cam while driving?
Yes, the dash cam is designed for continuous recording while driving. It starts recording automatically when power is supplied and stops when the engine is off.
What should I do if the camera does not power on?
First, check the power connection and ensure the car charger is properly inserted. Try using a different USB cable or charging adapter. If the issue persists, perform a reset using the reset button.
How do I maintain the dash cam?
Keep the lens clean using a soft, dry cloth. Format the microSD card every few weeks to maintain performance. Avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures or moisture.
