How do I install the Arkon MAG1057 car phone holder?

Peel off the protective film from the adhesive metal plate and attach it to the back of your phone or case. Then, stick the magnetic mount to your desired location on the dashboard, windshield, or vent clip. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before attaching.

Is the Arkon MAG1057 compatible with all smartphones?

It is compatible with any smartphone that can accommodate the included metal plate or has a built-in magnetic attachment. For devices with wireless charging, place the metal plate below the charging coil to avoid interference.

How strong is the magnetic hold?

The mount uses high-strength neodymium magnets that securely hold phones up to 1.5 lbs (680 g). It is suitable for most smartphones, even with bulky cases, as long as the metal plate is properly attached.

Can I rotate my phone while it is mounted?

Yes, the mount features a 360° rotating ball joint, allowing you to adjust your phone to portrait or landscape orientation easily.

Does the mount block any air vents?

When using the vent clip attachment, it may block one or two vent slats. However, the clip is designed to minimize obstruction and can be rotated to direct airflow around the phone.

How do I clean the magnetic mount?

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the mount. Avoid using alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the surface. Ensure the mount is completely dry before reuse.

Can I use this mount with a PopSocket or similar grip?

Yes, but you may need to attach the metal plate to the PopSocket base or use a special adapter. Alternatively, you can remove the PopSocket temporarily and use the plate directly on the phone case.

Is the adhesive on the metal plate removable?

NOTE: Not compatible with round air vent louvers.

Do not place console mount in or near an air bag deployment zone or where it will obstruct view of the road.

To attach magnet head, slide ring over 17mm ball. Adjust angle and tighten adjustment ring to secure.

2 To attach air vent mount, squeeze clip to open and insert into air vent louvers. Adjust lower support leg.

3 To attach console mount, find a fl at area on the console or dashboard. Clean the surface with the included alcohol pad and let dry. Remove paper backing on the adhesive console mount. Press and hold the mount on the console or dash surface for about a minute.*

4 Remove paper backing of adhesive metal plate. Firmly press the adhesive side to clean, back surface of your smartphone or case. Place metal plate on smartphone in contact with magnet head on air vent or console mount to attach. Rotate or adjust angle as needed.
