Frequently Asked Questions - LW-2003SS Jocel

How do I clean the Jocel LW-2003SS hand blender after use?
Disconnect the blender from power. Detach the shaft and accessories. Rinse the stainless steel shaft and blades under warm water immediately after use. The mixing beaker, whisk, and chopper bowl are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth; never immerse in water.
Can I blend hot liquids with this hand blender?
Yes, but allow liquids to cool to below 80°C (176°F) before blending. Avoid splashing; immerse the blender shaft fully before starting to prevent hot liquid from spraying. Use a deep container.
What is the maximum operating time for the blender?
Do not operate continuously for more than 1 minute at full load. Let the motor cool for at least 2 minutes between uses. Extended use may trigger the overheat protection.
The blender is not working. What should I check?
Ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a working outlet. Check that the speed selector is not on '0'. Verify that the detachable shaft is locked into place correctly. If still not working, contact Jocel customer support.
Can I use the whisk to whip cream?
Yes, the included stainless steel whisk is ideal for whipping cream, egg whites, and light batters. Use a deep bowl and start at low speed, gradually increasing to avoid splashes.
How do I change the speed?
The LW-2003SS has a sliding switch on the handle: slide up for low speed, further up for high speed. Press the 'Turbo' button on top for maximum power instantly.
What is the capacity of the chopper attachment?
The chopper bowl has a maximum capacity of 500 ml (17 oz). Do not overfill; chop dry or semi-dry ingredients only. For liquids, use the blender shaft directly.
The blades are dull or damaged. Where can I get replacements?
Replacement blade shafts and chopper blades are available through Jocel authorized service centers or online spare parts retailers. Always use genuine parts to maintain safety.
Can I blend ice cubes?
Yes, but only a few ice cubes at a time. Use the Turbo function and pulse briefly. Let the motor rest between pulses. Do not overwork the motor with large quantities.
Is the hand blender suitable for baby food?
Absolutely. The stainless steel blades and BPA-free beaker make it safe for pureeing cooked fruits, vegetables, and meats. Ensure food is cooked soft and blend at low speed until smooth.
