How to use the rice cooker?
Measure the rice with the measuring cup, rinse it and drain for 20 minutes. Pour water into the bowl (e.g. 550 ml for 450 g of rice). Plug in the appliance: the red light turns on. Wait for the yellow light (keep warm), then press the switch to start cooking (red light). The appliance automatically switches to keep warm at the end of cooking with a sound signal. Let it rest for 15 minutes before serving.
How much water to use for the rice?
Use the graduated measuring cup. The recommended ratio is 125 ml of water for 100 g of rice. For example, for 6 people: 450 g of rice for 550 ml of water. Do not exceed the maximum level indicated in the bowl.
How to use the steamer basket?
Pour 3 cups of water (about 600 ml) into the bowl. Place the food in the steamer basket or directly in the bowl. Close the lid, plug in and press the switch. Steaming starts. Check cooking and unplug when ready. Use an oven mitt to remove the food.
Can I use metal utensils in the bowl?
No, it is not recommended to use metal utensils as they can damage the non-stick coating of the bowl. Use the provided plastic spatula.
How to clean the appliance?

Before connecting your appliance:

  • Clean all parts of the rice cooker and accessories

A. Using your rice cooker

Measure rice with rice cup available with you appliance.
- Rinse your rice thoroughly and drain 20 minutes for optimal cooking.

  • Put rice into inner pot, add water to appropriate level. The rice cup and its graduation in g/ml can help you for this operation. The water volume can be added or reduced according to personal flavour and rice variety. Never fill over the maximum level indicate into the inner pot.

Example for 6 persons:

Add 450g of rice, then pour 550ml of water/ (100g of rice=125 ml of water)

  • Plug power cord to rice cooker outlet, plug other end to an electrical outlet.
    After plug in the red cook indicator light up: the appliance is on preheating mode.
  • The rice cooker change in the "keep warm mode": the yellow signal light up and a click sound advice you.
  • Press cook key, the cook start and the red signal light up.
  • Once the rice has absorbed all the water, the appliance will come to back to the "keep warm mode" automatically: the yellow signal light up and a click sound advice you.
    Plug off the power plug after use and then take out inner pot and food.
  • Use provided spatula but do not put metal scoop in the pot to prevent damage of inner pot.

B. Using the steaming function

  • Measure 3 cups of water with rice cup and pour into inner pot. Adjust the volume of water according to the quantity of food. The boiling time of 3 cups of water is 8 minutes.
  • Put the food in dish or in steaming tray directly. Make the food scattered evenly but not crowded together to make sure the food be heated equally.
  • Put the steaming tray into inner pot. When steaming and cooking process go on at the same time, make sure to leave enough space for steaming tray. The steaming food will be ready when the cooking process finished.
  • Close the lid correctly, plugs in and connect power source.
    After plug in the red cook indicator light up: the appliance is on preheating mode.
  • The rice cooker change in the "keep warm mode": the yellow signal light up and a click sound advice you.
  • Press cook key, the cook start and the red signal light up.
  • When you think your food is cooked, use a finger pull up cooking key as illustration.
  • Open the lid, take out the food from dish or steaming tray carefully as it is very hot, you need wear a kitchen glove or use a cloth as pad.(Be careful when open the lid lest scalded by steam.)
    After steaming process finished, cut down power source and plug off.

4/ CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

A. Cleaning the rice cooker

Before cleaning your appliance, unplug and allow cooling completely. To facilitate cleaning, some parts of the appliance can be removed. This is the case of the tank and the vent cover. To remove this cover, simply pull it as shown below:

Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean your Sushi Party and don't use metal utensils to avoid damaging the appliance. To protect against electric shock, do not place any part of this appliance in water or other liquid.

Always check that grains of rice or other food pieces are not stuck in the griddle. This could damage the contact between the heating element and the tank.
