OPERATION - Setting the time

Before using the coffee machine, you have to set the correct time.

  1. Put the plug in the socket. The display (15) now shows "12:00", flickering.
  2. Press the hour button (12) to set the right hour. Press once to increase by one hour. You can keep the button pressed to increase the hours faster.
  3. Press the minute button (13) to set the right minute. Press once to increase by one minute. You can keep the button pressed to increase the minutes faster.
  4. The correct time has now been set.

ATTENTION:

• The clock of the coffee machine uses a 24-hour indication.
- When the machine is disconnected from the power source, the programming of the time is lost.

OPERATION - Before the first use

First clean the machine with only water and discard the water afterwards. Follow the instructions below.

OPERATION - Making coffee

  1. Open the lid (6) of the water reservoir (7) and fill the reservoir sufficiently, at least for 4 cups and maximally for 12 cups.
  2. Fill the filter with the desired quantity of ground coffee (standard 1 level scoop per cup). This coffee machine has a permanent filter (1). You do not have to use a paper filter, but it is possible to place a filter bag (1x4) in the filter holder.
  3. Close the lid.
  4. Place the glass coffee pot (5) on the hot plate (8).
  5. Pressing the strength button (14, the coffee can be made stronger. The orange indication light burns (16) when stronger coffee is selected.
  6. Press the on/off button (9) once to start making coffee. The coffee is prepared. Indication light (17) turns orange.

ATTENTION:

  • Because of the drip stop, you can have coffee when you want. Quickly put the pot back to prevent overflow of the filter.
  • The lid of the machine is hot when the machine is in operation! Be careful when opening the lid during operation. Hot steam can cause burns.
    • The machine will automatically turn off after 40 minutes.
  • Do not place a paper filter in the permanent filter. First remove the permanent filter from the filter holder.

OPERATION-Programming coffee machine for a later moment

When you have set the coffee machine to the right time, you can program the coffee machine to make coffee at a later moment.

  1. Press the programming button (11).
  2. Set the time you want the coffee to be made with the hour and the minute buttons. Press the hour button (12) to set the right hour. Press the minute button (13) to set the right minutes.
  3. Press the delay brew button (10).
  4. The machine will turn on at the set time and the indication light (17) will turn green.

ATTENTION:

- The machine remembers the delayed start setting. If you want to use the function again, you only have to press the delay brew button. Attention: do not forget to refill water and coffee. Coffee on another moment? Repeat step 1 to 4.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Pull the plug from the socket and let the machine cool down if necessary.
  2. Remove the filter holder from the device and clean under flowing water.
  3. Clean the coffee pot with warm water with detergent or in the dishwasher.
  4. Clean the device on the outside with a moist cloth a detergent. Make sure no moisture enters the machine.
  5. Dry the inside of the machine after use. This extends the longevity of the machine.
  6. Never immerse the machine, plug, and cable in water. Never put the machine in a dishwasher. Only separate component may be immersed in water.
  7. Do not use aggressive of abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) when cleaning.

ATTENTION:

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Decalcification

Scale can reduce the performance of the machine. In areas with hard water, scale often occurs. We advise to use a suitable descaling agent if scale occurs. Always follow the instructions of the descaling agent. Scaling occurs less if you use a water purification device.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty on this equipment against defects resulting from manufacturing and/or material errors, subject to the following conditions.

  1. No labour or material costs will be charged during this warranty period.
  2. Any repairs carried out under the warranty will not extend the warranty period.
  3. Faulty parts, or in the event of exchange, the faulty equipment itself, will automatically become the property of Bestron.
  4. The warranty is valid for the first buyer only and is non-transferable.
  5. The warranty is not valid for damage caused by:

- Accidents

  • Improper use
  • Wear and tear

- Neglect

  • Faulty installation
  • Connection to a different mains voltage than indicated on the type plate
    • Unauthorised changes
    • Repairs carried out by unqualified third parties
  • Use in violation with the applicable statutory, technical or safety standards
  • Careless transport without suitable packaging or other protection

  • Warranty cannot be claimed:

  • For damage during transport

  • If the serial number of the appliance is removed or changed

  • Items excluded from warranty are:
