IMPORTANT
- Disconnect the device from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Never use it near water sources.
- Place the handset on a firm surface, and where the openings and slots in the back of the unit receive ventilation.
- This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label, consult your dealer or local power company.
- Do not disassemble this product. Opening or removing parts of the telephone base or handset may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks.
1. HIGHLIGHTS

It includes DECT 6.0 to avoid interferences with other wireless devices.
The base allows connecting up to 4 additional extensions and has languages, ringtones, volume set, clock, among others.

2. INSTALLATION
- Remove the cover of the handset battery compartment.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (included). Check the polarity.
- Replace the cover of the battery compartment. It is recommended to charge the phone for 12 hours before using it for the first time.
- PlacethebaseasfaraspossibleofotherwirelessequipmentlikeWi-Fi routers, as well as microwave ovens, TVs, computers, etc.
Connect:
- The cable of telephone line to the connector marked as LINE.
- The supplied power adapter to the connector marked as DC6V and to an outlet.

If you receive high-speed internet (commonly referred to as DSL) through your phone line and you hear interference during their talks and/or your caller ID functions are not working properly, install a DSL filter between the telephone base and the telephone line connection (Sternen model: 300-997).

3. CONTROLS
- LCD color display
- MENU/OK: Enter the main menu. Confirms a selection.
-
RETURN / EXIT: Returns to the previous menu. In standby mode, you enter the phonebook.
-
Answer incoming calls. Press it twice activate handsfree.
-
Terminates a call. In standby mode press for 2 seconds to turn off the phone. Press it again to turn it on.
-
Top / review of outgoing calls : Allows you to scroll up in the menus. Increases the volume of the handset to pick up. Standby mode displays the calls made.
-
Down / Review of all calls: Lets you scroll down in the menus. Decreases the handset volume.
-
Left: Allows you to scroll to the left. Transfer one call to another handset.
-
Right: Lets you move to the right. It activates the Flash function during a conversation.

✱: Press for 7 seconds to lock the keypad. To unlock it select "Unlock" with the right button and press ✱

: Press for 3 seconds to turn off / turn on the ringer. While writing a message press to change the input mode.

4. MENU
Press Menu. The menu icons will appear on the screen. Use the arrow keys to select an option. Press 📋 to confirm.
1. Handset settings
a) Registration. The phone is factory registered at the included base. Use this option only if you want to register in a different base.
-Press on the base until the LED starts blinking red.
-Select "Register" and choose a base. It has up to 4 options. If you only have one, select "Base 1".
-Enter your PIN (default 0000).
-Press to confirm.
-To unregister a handset select "De-register". Select the handset and enter your PIN (default 0000). Press to confirm.
-Choose "Select Base" to select the registration mode: Auto or Manual.
b) Auto answer. When activated, allows you to answer calls by simply lifting the handset from the base.
c) Language. Change the language for the menus. You can choose between Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, English, German and French.
d) Date and time.
-Select "Time format" and select between 12 or 24 h.
-Select "Date and time". Use the displacement keys and the numeric keypad to set the year, month, day and time.
-Press save your changes.
e) Handset reset. Reset the handset to factory parameters.
-Enter the PIN (default 0000) and press √
After you choose this option, the user settings will be permanently deleted.
2. Display
a) Wallpaper. Modifies the wallpaper. Use ◆ to see each one and then press to select.
b) Backlight Time. Adjusts the backlight duration. You can choose between 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 seconds.
c) Handset Name. Lets you assign a name to the handset. Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter the name. If you want to delete a character, press to save your changes.
3. Base Settings
a) Dial Mode. Allows you to choose between tone or pulse dialing.
b) Recall. Modifies the flash time (special services). You can choose between 100, 120, 300, 600 or 1000 ms.
c) System PIN. The 4-digit PIN code allows you to modify certain parameters of your phone. The default code is 0000 (four zeros). You can change this code to protect the phone settings.
-Enter your default PIN (0000, four zeros).
-Enter the 4 digits of the new PIN and press ▼e-enter the 4 digits and press again ▼
d) Base Reset. Resets the base factory parameters.
-Enter the PIN code (0000, default) and press

After you choose this option, the settings made by the user are permanently deleted.
4. Call log
a) All Calls. Displays the numbers of all calls.
-Use ◆ to scroll through the list. Press
for details.
b) Missed Calls. If you have a missed call, the icon the screen.

-Use ◆ to scroll through the list. Select "Option" to open sub-menu:
-Save No. Saves the selected number in the phonebook.
-View details. Displays the call details.
-Delete. Deletes the call record.
-Delete all. Deletes the record of all calls. Select to confirm.
(This submenu is also available in received and outgoing calls).
c) Received Calls. Displays incoming calls.
d) Dialed Calls. Displays all the calls made.
5. Phonebook
When there is no contact saved in the phonebook, the display shows the message "Empty".
a) New Entry
-Select "Option" and then choose "New entry".
-Enter the name. When finished, select "Save".
-Enter the phone number and then choose "Save".
-If you want to delete a character, use < and press .
-Choose any of 15 slots and press
-Choose any of the 5 contact store categories: family, friend, company, school, or others. Press
-On screen, the message "Entry Saved" will appear.
You can also save a contact by entering the number in the standby mode and selecting "Save". Then you can enter the name, edit the number and choose a melody and category.
b) Edit Entry
-Select a contact. Use ◇ to scroll through the list and <to change the group.
-Select "Option" and then select "Edit Entry".
-Use < to move between characters and to delete any of them. Enter the changes in the name using the alphanumeric keypad. When finished, select "Save".
-Edit the number in the same way.
-Change the melody and the group. Press save your changes.
c) Show Details
-In the contact menu options select "Show Details".
-Use ◆ for other contacts details. Press to dial the number.
d) Delete Entry
-Select a contact and select "Delete Entry" in the options menu.
-Press confirm.
e) Delete All
-Select any contact and choose "Delete all" in the options menu.
-Press 📋 all the contacts saved in the phone will be deleted permanently.
6. SMS Message
Service is available only for request. Check with your phone company.
a) Write Message
-Use the numeric keypad to type the message. If you want to delete a character, press ▶ the end choose “Option”. (At the top of the message appear the number of entered characters and the page number).
-Select "Send to". Enter the number or press to choose a contact from the phonebook. If you want to send the message later, select "Save message".
-To enter one of the default messages, choose "Use template" and press
b) Inbox. Displays received messages.
-Use ◆ to scroll through the list. Select "Read" to view the message.
-When reading a message, select "Option" to open sub-menu:
-Delete: Deletes the message.
-Replay: Responding with another message.
-Forward: Edit the message to send to another recipient.
-Dial number: makes a call to the number that sent the message.
-Save number: saves the number that sent the message.
-Delete all: deletes all received messages.
(These options are also available in the other submenus to select "Option").
c) Drafts. Stores unsent messages.
d) Outbox. Stores sent messages.
e) Templates. Displays the templates with default messages.
-To edit any press and select "Edit". If you want to delete the template, choose "Delete".
f) SMS Settings
-Service Center. Consult your phone company. There are 4 options.
-Send Service. Consult your phone company. There are 4 options.
7. Organizer
a) Calendar
- Use _R to move between the year, month, and day, and to change the values.
-Press to return to the previous menu.
b) Stop Watch
-When it is stopped, press "Start to begin and "Stop" to finish. Select "Reset" to reset the stopwatch.
c) Alarm
-Select a repeat mode: Once, Every Day, Mon to Fri or Off.
- Set the alarm time with the keypad. Use < ≥_R to scroll between the hours and minutes.
-Select "Save" and choose a melody.
8. Sound
a) Hs Ringtone
-External. You change the ringer for external calls.
-Internal. Modifies the ringer of internal calls (including handsets).
- Volume. Changes the ringer volume level. It has 5 levels. If you decrease the volume to the minimum the ringer will turn off. The icon will be displayed at the top of the screen.
b) Keypad beep. Enables or disables the key sound.
c) Confirm Beep. Enables or disables the confirmation sound after you modify some parameter.
9. More functions
-ECO mode
-Normal. The phone will emit a normal level of radiation.
-Zero Emission. The phone will minimize the radiation emission.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
-Press to turn on the headset.
How to answer a call
-When you receive a call, the phone will ring and the base LED will flash.
-Lift the handset and press ⬆ to start the conversation. If the “Auto answer” function is activated, simply lift the handset from the base and start the conversation.
-When finished, press or place the handset on the base.
You can press [silent] while the phone is ringing to silence it.
Caller ID is available at request. Please consult your phone company terms and conditions of this function.
To get the caller ID information correctly, answer the call after the second tone.
How to make a call
Pre-dial
-Enter the number you want to dial. You can have up to 24 digits.
-If you want to modify it to use < ≥_R to move between characters and delete.

-Press ⬇. The number will be dialed immediately. If you press again, it will activate the speaker.
-When finished, press or place the handset on the base.
Dial a number from the phonebook
-In standby mode, press Use to scroll through the list.
-When you find the number that you want to dial, press. The call will be made immediately.
-When finished, press or place the handset on the base.
Pause
During dialing, you can enter a pause to make calls to numbers that use a PBX by pressing the 0 key for 3 seconds.
For example, in the following dialing 55P23, the P represents a pause of 3.6 seconds.
Call transfer (must have at least two registered handsets)
-During a call, press
-The display shows the message "Internal". Enter the number of the handset to which you want to transfer the call, or select "End" to cancel the action.
-Press on the other handset to take the call.
-Press or place the handset that transferred the call on the base.
Dial to another handset (internal call)
-In standby mode, press <
-The display shows the message "Internal". Enter the number of the handset you wish to call.
-Press on the other handset to take the call.
-When finished press or place the handset in the base.
Call Conference (service available only by request, check with your phone company).
-During a call, press
-The display shows the message "Internal". Enter the number of the handset to which you want to set the conference or select "End" to cancel the action.
-Press on the other handset to take the call and select "Config." from the first.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING

This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
- This warranty card with all therequired information, invoice, productboxor package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
- If the product is in the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
- The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
- Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accessories to customer, as well as warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
