This symbol alerts you of the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions, in the manual or in the documentation accompanying the product
This symbol alerts you to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product's enclosure that might be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. Do not open the product's case.
The CE mark indicates that this product complies with the applicable European directives and their related standards. Compliance documentation in complete form is available at the company Karma Italiana Srl
Directive 2012/19/UE regarding electric and electronic equipment waste (WEEE).
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin indicates that the product at the end of its life must be collected separately from other waste. The user must, therefore, confer the fixture complete with all the essential components to an authorized disposal center for collection of electronic and electrical waste, or return it to the dealer when buying new equipment of equivalent type, at a rate of one to one, or one to zero if external dimension is less than 25cm. Appropriate separate collection to send the decommissioned equipment to recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps to prevent negative impact on the environment and human health and promotes recycling of the materials making up the product. In Italy illegal dumping of the product by the user entails the application of administrative sanctions pursuant to Legislative Decree n. 49 (14/03/2014).

LOW IMPEDANCE SPEAKER CONNECTION
When using low impedance speakers the main rule to be respected is that the total impedance of the speakers must be compatible with the impedances managed by the amplifier where the speakers will be connected (generally 4, 8, 16Ω), If you use more than one speaker, the value of impedance will be added up or divided depending on the type of connection (in series or in parallel). If you connect only one speaker you have to consider the impedance of the speaker itself.
Here are three examples of connection:
A. Parallel speaker connection

PARALLEL WIRING
The impedances are divided. In this example the 2 x 8Ω speakers can be connected to an amplifier suitable for 4Ω connections.
8 Ω/2 = 4 Ω ( Total impedance )
B. Series speaker connection

SERIES WIRING
The impedances add up. In this example the 2 × 8Ω speakers can be connected to an amplifier suitable for 16Ω connections.
8 Ω × 2 = 1 6 Ω [Total impedance]
If you use few speakers it is easy to reach the 4, 8, 16Ω impedance requested by common amplifiers, but when you use several speakers it is necessary to choose a series/ parallel mixed wiring, which will allow to obtain the desired impedance.
Here is an example:
c. Mixed speaker connection Series and parallel

SERIES / PARALLEL MIXED WIRING
In this example the impedance of the 8Ω speakers is added (being connected in series). Then the 2 groups of speakers, connected in parallel, halve their impedance to reach a total impedance of 8Ω again.
8 Ω × 2/2 = 8 Ω ( Total impedance )
FRONT PANEL

REAR PANEL

CONNECTIONS
- Your new amplifier can be placed on a flat surface or mounted in a standard 19" rack. In this case use the front panel'a rack mount ears (9).
• To move the amplifier use the handles (1). - When you position the amplifier take care not to cover the air vents (8).
- Connect the input audio signal to the RCA sockets (11) or to the 6,3mm jack sockets (10).
• The GND / LIFT selector (12) allows to remove the connection to ground.
Warning: Normally it should be left off and used only in the event of ground-related noise. Removal of the safety ground connection on equipment can expose user to an increased danger of electric shock.
- This amplifier is suitable for speakers operating with 4 or 8 Ohm signals. Don't connect signals with different impedances to avoid damaging the amplifier or the speakers. It is possible to connect several speakers with series or parallel wiring or a mix of these two types in order to reach a final impedance of 4 or 8 Ohms. Be careful to connect the same load and impedance on both channels to avoid imbalances. For a correct use of series/parallel speakers please refer to the guide on page 12.
- If your speakers are equipped with 6,3mm connectors you can connect them to the output sockets (13).
- If you need to connect the speakers with simple wires or banana plugs you can use the output sockets (15).
- If your speakers feature SPEAKON professional connectors you can use the output sockets (14).
- Once these connections are completed, connect the power cable to the socket (16) and on the other side to a domestic power outlet with correct voltage.
OPERATION
- Turn on the amplifier by means of the button (5). The led (6) will confirm it is correctly powered. If the fixture doesn't turn on, disconnect the power cable and check that the fuse in the compartment (17) is ok. If necessary replace it with one of the same amperage rating.
- Adjust at will the volumes of the right and left channels by means of the rotating knobs (4).
• The SIG led (3) lights up to indicate that an audio signal was detected by the amplifier. - The CLIP led (7) flashes according to the audio signal's peaks. If it remains constantly on, reduce immediately the volume by means of the controls (4) and check the correct level of the input signal. It means that the signal's level is too high, with consequent distortion.
- In case of overload the amplifier will automatically go into protection mode as indicated by the led (2) lighting up. If this occurs reduce all the volumes (4), then turn off the amplifier and disconnect the power cable for a few seconds. If the problem persists when you turn on the amplifier again, check with a technician the causes of the overload.
