How do I pair my phone via Bluetooth?

Press the Bluetooth button on the panel or remote until the indicator flashes. On your phone, search for BAF-520BT and select it. No password required.

Can I use the speaker while charging?

Yes, you can use the speaker while connected to AC power. The battery will charge simultaneously.

What is the range of the wireless microphones?

The wireless microphones have a range of approximately 15-20 meters in open space, depending on obstacles.

How do I switch between Bluetooth, USB, SD, and FM modes?

Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through input sources. The current mode will be displayed on the screen.

Why is there no sound from the microphone?

Check that the microphone is turned on (switch on the body), the volume is not at minimum, and the Mic Volume knob on the panel is turned up. Also ensure the microphone batteries are fresh.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

At moderate volume, the battery lasts approximately 6 hours. Higher volume will reduce battery life.

Can I connect external speakers to this system?

This unit is designed as an all-in-one system. It has a Line Out jack for connecting to an external amplifier, but not for passive speakers directly.

Does the FM radio work without an antenna?

The built-in FM antenna may pick up strong stations, but for best reception, extend the supplied wire antenna fully.

How do I reset the system if it freezes?

Turn off the power switch, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. If using battery, remove and reinsert the battery connection.

What file formats are supported on USB/SD?

Supported formats are MP3 and WMA. The device may not play files with DRM protection or very high bitrates.

How to get started with the system

Remove the battery compartments

The baffles have detachable compartments in the back.

Slide the top button in the direction of the arrows and remove the compartments to gain access to the console and accessories.

To reposition the compartments insert the lower tabs and push the top

Install the baffles

Carefully place the baffles on a flat surface or brackets. Turn knob to secure.

Connect the bafles to the console using the 6.3 mm cables.

Turn on the equipment

Connect the power cord to the console and to a power outlet.

Press the switch on the console to turn it on or off.

The console includes a fuse to protect it against voltage surges and short circuits. In case of melting, remove the compartment (located at the entrance for the power cable) with a screwdriver and replace it with a similar one. There is a spare fuse in the compartment.

Battery Replacement

Insert a CR2025 battery. Be sure to place it with the polarity as follows:

Playback options

From the module you can play music via Bluetooth *, SD memory or USB *, and tune into FM radio stations *.

Go to pages 11 and 12 of this manual to learn how to control playback from the module, or pages 13 and 14 to view the remote control functions.

Bluetooth connection\*

1. Press the MODE button on the module or on the remote control to switch to Bluetooth mode.
2. Enter the Bluetooth options on the device you want to link.
3. Locate and select Steren BAF-520BT. If the connection is successful, the display will read "Connected!"
4. Start playback from the device.

SD/USB memory\*

1. Insert SD or USB memory with MP3 files into the corresponding port.

2. Press the MODE button on the module or remote control to switch to SD or USB mode. Playback will start automatically

Radio FM\*

Press the MODE button on the module or on the remote control to switch to FM radio mode.
