- Use only the indicated batteries (9V).
• To avoid wrong measurements, change the batteries regularly.

Insert a 9 V battery. Ensure that place it with the correct polarity.
HOW TO USE
Cable tracking and identification
- Insert the testing cable into the transmitter. Connect the black clamp to ground and the red clamp to a jack or connector.
- In the transmitter press 🔍 to turn it on. Then, press the SCAN PoE button. If you want to track PoE networks press again the same button. The PoE SCAN indicator will remains on.
- In the receiver, slide the switch toward SCAN position.
- Close the receiver to the cable or wall and keep pressing the button to start tracking. The tone will be hiher as close as the cable is.
Note: The PoE SCAN function is used in switches and PoE networks. If the emitted tone is very weak, may be that the cable is not well connected into PoE switch or the jack is damaged, please change to SCAN tracking.


Cable mapping and status
- Connect the transmitter into a RJ45 or RJ11 port with the phone cable.
- In the transmitter press 🔒 to turn on it. Press the TEST button. The indicator TEST will flash slowly. Press the same button again if you want to increase the operating speed.
- Connect the receiver in the contrary side (until 300 m). Slide the switch to turn on.
The different connectors emmits their own tones and the LED indicators turn on by independent way.

RJ45 (8P/8C) LED indicators: The LED indicators of the transmitter and the receiver emits a 1-8s sequence in order.
RJ11 (6P/4C) LED indicators:
6P/6C turn on from 2 to 7 in sequence
6P/4C turn on from 3 to 6 in sequence
6P/2C turn on from 4 to 5 in sequence
If find a empty line, the indicators do not turn on

Each LED indicator both in transmitter as in receiver correspond to a pin. Watch as the indicators turn on, to check the status of the cable in RJ45 and RJ11 connectors.
Correct: If the indicators turn on one by one in stepped order that means that the pins are correctly connected.

Test in telecommunication devices and routers
Important!
This function is used only to know if the cable is in good status, it can't be use to determine if the pins are crossed or if they are in short circuit.
- Connect the network cable into RJ45 port of the transmitter, connect the other side into router port.
- In the transmitter press 🔒 to turn on it. Press the TEST INSERT button.
The TEST indicator will flash slowly. Press the same button again if you want to increase the operating speed.
If all indicators [1-8 G] turn on one by one, that means that the cable is right; if any of them turns on, the cable is damaged.

ATTENTION!
Before to test ensure that the receiver is off.
- Insert the testing cables into the transmitter. Connect the clamps as shown in the image.
- In the transmitter press 🔒 to turn on it. Then, press the 🔒 button.
If the SHORT indicator turn on, it means that the resistance is less than 300 Ω, if the indicator does not turn on the resistance is higher than 300 Ω.

Polarity and phone line validation
- Insert the cable with clamps into the transmitter. Connect the clamps into phone line connector directly.
- In the transmitter press ⏻ to turn it on. Then, press the 🔊 button.
The POL-/G, POL+/R indicator turn on in two colors (green and red) to indicate the polarity as shown below:
Red light: Red clamp with positive polarity (+); black clamp with negative polarity (-).
Green light: Red clamp with negative polarity (-); black clamp with positive polarity (+).
Without light: Line out of service.
Phone line test
- Insert the cable with clamps into the transmitter. Connect the clamps into phone line connector directly.
- In the transmitter press 🔒 to turn on it. Then, press the PCL TEL button twice. The TEL indicator will turn on.
During the proof, the CONT indicator turn on in two colors (green and red) to indicate the phone line status as shown below:
Red light: Red clamp with positive polarity (+); black clamp with negative polarity (-).
Green light: Red clamp with negative polarity (-); black clamp with positive polarity (+).
Without light: Line out of service.
The CONT indicator turn on in two colors (green and red) to shown the results of the test of the next way:
Red and green: Stand by mode
No brightness or dim light: Line out service.
Flash in red and green: Incoming call
Non-Contact voltage detection (NCV)
This function is used to find and identify cables with voltage, this ensure that not only the user's security if not also the equipment.
- In the receiver, slide the switch to NCV position.
- Press and hold the button, while bring near the receiver's tip toward the area where you want to search.
If the NVC indicator flashes quickly and the receiver emits a tone, that means that tested target have a current of 90 - 1000 V. If the receiver does not emit tones and the indicator does not light on, it means that the target have an alternating current less than 90 V or does not have current.
